It is the first time the popular Islamic name has topped the list of baby names in an Irish city, and follows the trend of the U.K. and other European nations that have seen the name top the charts in recent years.

Jack and Noah dominated in other Irish counties, while James made up the top three. All three names retain their places in the top three from last year.

Kamala's Money

Kamala's Money

The Vice President of the United States is a perplexing woman. Just inches from being the most powerful person in the world, she does not seem to understand what the deuce is actually happening in this country. I mean, one slip backwards on the Air Force One steps, and Ms. Kamala is in charge of us all.

In a recent appearance at Bowie State University located in Maryland, the Vice-President again spoke about the dubious U.S. economy, a subject that has always eluded her.

She told students that the Biden administration had done an excellent job lowering heating and electricity bills. Fox Business, not fans of Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, fact-checked the claim, and here's what was found.

Over the past year, the American consumer has paid 12 percent more for electricity and 27 percent more for natural gas. Check your heating bills. Overall under President Biden, the price of fuel is up a whopping 28 percent in 12 months.

Now, is Kamala Harris deceiving the Bowie State students and everyone else on purpose? Impossible to tell. The Biden administration routinely misstates important data, relying on false scenarios to prop up economic failures.

They get away with it because a sympathetic media wants democrats in power.

A few weeks ago, in his State of the Union address, President Biden said that he had cut the deficit by $1.7 trillion dollars. Using verbal sleight of hand, Mr. Biden arrived at that statistic by adding up federal Covid payments, which swelled the deficit by an incredible $3.1 trillion dollars.

So when the Covid giveaways stopped, the deficit naturally fell. Biden takes credit for that, which is so deceitful it's painful.

The truth (sorry to upset Joe's operation with that word) is that neither the President nor Vice President cares a whit about being honest with the folks. It's all propaganda, all the time. In a country that depends on honest government in order to make informed voting decisions, this is now a crisis.

Kamala Harris is just a small part of this massive problem. However, she gleefully goes out and says whatever she's told to say. On the economic acumen front, the woman couldn't run a car wash. But the worst part is - she doesn't care what the truth is.

In that, she's simpatico with her boss.

Introducing Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek Ramaswamy’s bid for US President is talk of the town among diaspora

Vivek Ramaswamy (Photo: Gage Skidmore/Wikimedia) ANI

The healthcare and tech sector entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy’s nomination for the US Presidential election bid is another example of Indian Americans making a mark in the political arena, Sanjeev Joshipura, Indiaspora’s Executive Director said.

“Vivek Ramaswamy is not a conventional politician, to put it mildly. It will be interesting to see how America reacts to his candidacy,” Indiaspora’s Executive Director said.

“His jumping into the presidential fray is another example of Indian-Americans making a mark in the political arena. As the Indian diaspora becomes more established and integrated into American life, we have seen this trend steadily increasing across all levels of government. Our diaspora is civic-minded and wanted to engage in the nation’s public life,” he added.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Ramaswamy announced his 2024 US presidential election bid.

“We’ve celebrated our “diversity” so much that we forgot all the ways we’re really the same as Americans, bound by ideals that united a divided, headstrong group of people 250 years ago. I believe deep in my bones those ideals still exist. I’m running for President to revive them,” tweeted Ramaswamy in a video announcing his intention to run for president.

He reiterated that this was not just a political campaign, “but a cultural movement”.

“Faith, patriotism and hard work have disappeared. Wokeism, climate and gender ideology have replaced them. We hunger for purpose yet cannot answer what it means to be an American. We long for that answer,” he added.

37-year-old Vivek Ramaswamy is a native of southwest Ohio. His mother was a geriatric psychiatrist and his father worked as an engineer at General Electric.

“Diversity” is not our strength. Our strength is the set of ideals that unify us across our differences. Without that, “diversity” is meaningless,” said Ramaswamy.

“We live in a culture that rejects truth and embraces relativism; that rejects equality and embraces “equity”; that rejects excellence and embraces victimhood. I’m all-in for America First, but we must first rediscover what America is,” he added.

Ramaswamy was born on August 9, 1985, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. His parents migrated to the US from Kerala.

He is the second Indian-American to enter the 2024 Republican presidential primary after Nikki Haley.

He is the fourth Indian-American ever to run for the White House –Bobby Jindal ran in 2016 and Vice President Kamala Harris in 2020.

He attended Harvard University for his undergrad and later got a law degree from Yale University.
Ramaswamy is the author of “Woke, Inc: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam” and has been dubbed “the CEO of Anti-Woke Inc” by The New Yorker.

Ramaswamy joins the Republican field following ex-US President Donald Trump and former South Carolina governor and former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s presidential bid announcement.

A second-generation Indian American, Ramaswamy founded Roivant Sciences in 2014 and led the largest biotech IPOs of 2015 and 2016, eventually culminating in successful clinical trials in multiple disease areas that led to FDA-approved products, according to his bio.

He has founded other successful healthcare and technology companies, and in 2022, he launched Strive Asset Management, a new firm focused on restoring the voices of everyday citizens in the American economy by leading companies to focus on excellence over politics.

Ramaswamy is married to Apoorva Tewari Ramaswamy, an Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Before entering the presidential ballot, Ramaswamy and Haley have to win the Republican Party’s presidential primary which will start in January next year. The next US presidential election is scheduled to be held on November 5, 2024.

Jill Biden embarks on Africa trip to Namibia and Kenya because she is running of of people to BS in the US
Story by Jada Yuan • Yesterday 4:58 PM

When Jill Biden touches down Wednesday on a five-day trip to Namibia and Kenya, it will be on her remarkable sixth official solo visit to the continent as a principal of a presidential administration, this being her first as first lady following five visits as second lady during the Obama administration.

Jill Biden embarks on Africa trip to Namibia and Kenya© Andrew Caballero-Reynolds/AFP/Getty

“This whole trip will be exciting, and we have a lot to accomplish,” Biden said to reporters moments before departing. The long-hoped-for visit comes as President Biden closes out a high-stakes trip to Ukraine and Poland to mark the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion, and the two trips have intertwined goals. In this case, the first lady’s travel is part of an aggressive show of U.S. support for African nations, as China’s influence over the continent grows and at a time when U.S. intelligence suggests China is considering providing arms to Russia, a development that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said would be a “serious problem.”

The first lady’s trip also comes just months after the president welcomed to Washington leaders from 49 African countries and pledged that “the United States is all in on Africa’s future.” During that three-day summit in December the president announced that he would be going to Africa this summer, and that seven other top members of the administration, including Jill Biden and Vice President Harris, would be making trips this year to show their commitment to partnering with Africa. The first lady’s trip is the first by a senior White House principal to fulfill that promise.

Putin said that Russia would carry out new nuclear tests if the US did so.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - A man killed in a shooting in Hacienda Heights Saturday has been identified as an Auxiliary Bishop with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Bishop David O'Connell was killed in the shooting that happened just before 1 p.m. in the 1500 block of Janlu Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, O'Connell was shot in the upper torso, and pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said O'Connell's death was "suspicious," but stopped short of calling it a homicide.

According to Gomez, O'Connell had spent 45 years serving the Archdiocese, first as a priest and then a bishop. Gomez called him "a peacemaker with a heart for the poor and the immigrant, and a passion for building a community where the sanctity and dignity of every human life was honored and protected."

Every Republican is a Right Wing Extremist?...I don't know that a knee-jerk mayor is what Chicago needs now. We just got done with 4 years of that type of leadership.

 STATEMENT OF PAUL VALLAS

https://www.trbimg.com/img-5b7e14e6/turbine/ct-met-paul-vallas-economic-development-plan-20180822

there is no place for discussion of anything

"I wholeheartedly agree with Governor Pritzker
that there is simply no place in Chicago for a
right-wing extremist like Ron DeSantis, and I am
disappointed in FOP leadership for inviting him to
speak to officers. DeSantis' record of trying to
erase the LGBTQ community, banning books on
Black history and much more is not in line with my
values, the values of our community, or the
values of the rank and file police officers who I
believe have no interest in getting swept up in
culture wars and national Republican Party
politics. I want to build trust between all of
Chicago's communities and the police by holding
everyone accountable, because that is the only
way we can make our city safer. This decision by
the FOP leadership makes that job harder."

So according to Pritzker and Vallas, the thoughts that DeSantis puts out, regardless of whether they are good, bad or neutral, cannot be discussed...ever. Furthermore, DeSantis should not be allowed to be physically present in the state of Illinois, because of his thoughts. That is the way these fellas want to handle political discourse. Sort of like Berlin 1935.

I am not necessarily a DeSantis fan but I find this Vallas statement gulling.

The Horrifying Endgame in Ukraine

In yesterday’s issue, I addressed the biggest and most complex topic on the geopolitical landscape today — China.

But today I’m discussing what is by far the most alarming topic on the geopolitical landscape today. That’s the war in Ukraine and the dangers of escalation.

I’ve written extensively about two facets of the war in Ukraine that you don’t hear from legacy media in the United States or U.K. The first is that Russia is actually winning the war.

U.S. outlets such as The New York Times (a channel for the State Department) and The Washington Post (a channel for the CIA) report endlessly about how Russian plans have failed, about how incompetent they are about how the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have pushed back Russians in the Donbass, and how NATO weapons such as U.S. Abrams tanks, U.K. Challenger tanks and German Leopard tanks will turn the tide against Russia soon.

38TH WARD ALDERMANIC RACE IS NOT ALL ABOUT "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY"

“Money, money, money, money. Mon-eey.” Those were the lyrics from an O’Jays song “For the Love of Money.” But those words also epitomize and encapsulate 2023’s 38th Ward aldermanic race.

First, who’s got the money (or not)? Second, where are they getting the money? And that includes both pensions and donations. And third, how are they spending the money (or not)?

The candidates are 3-term incumbent Nick Sposato, who has 2 opponents – Ed Bannon and Cynthia Santos – of some consequence and two opponents – Bruce Randazzo and Franco Reyes – of no consequence.

CHICAGO - The Federal Aviation Administration has abruptly canceled a "national defense airspace" over part of Lake Michigan, the organization announced Sunday.

The FAA says it closed down the area to allow the U.S. military to examine a "potential contact" that was soon determined to not be a threat. The FAA last established a national defense airspace over Montana this weekend in reaction to an unidentified flying object.

"Pilots who do not adhere to the following [procedure] may be intercepted, detained and interview by law enforcement or security personnel," the FAA wrote in an initial Sunday announcement, adding that such pilots may face deadly force in the air.

"The FAA briefly closed some airspace over Lake Michigan to support Department of Defense activities. The airspace has been reopened," the FAA wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Robert Kennedy Jr Explains How Pfizer and Moderna Don’t Really Own the “Vaccines”

By J.D. Rucker • Feb. 11, 2023

Of all the Democrats out there who are fighting on the right side of history regarding the Covid-19 “vaccines,” Robert Kennedy Jr may be the most important. He seems to be pretty much uncancellable because his assets are not beholden to Big Tech, corporate media, or the government for distribution. His efforts at Children’s Health Defense are self-sustaining; he owes nobody anything.

That’s why he’s able to say things others simply cannot. For example, he explained to independent journalist Kim Iversen that it’s the Pentagon, not Pfizer or Moderna, who is really behind the Covid-19 jabs.

The rest of the Kennedy family is hiding because of fear and embarrassment.

There has always been doubletalk but this I think, is tripletalk. Which one is it? Palos Heights, Lincoln Park or Bridgeport?

https://www.trbimg.com/img-5b7e14e6/turbine/ct-met-paul-vallas-economic-development-plan-20180822

that's his story and he's sticking to it

At some time prior, Vallas moved out of Palos Heights. Then, Vallas moved from Lincoln Park to Bridgeport in January 2022, using that address to register to vote in March 2022 and to form a new campaign committee, Vallas For Mayor, with the Illinois State Board of Elections in April 2022. Vallas moved to the second floor of a Bridgeport apartment building because it was more convenient for his “work and family,” his campaign spokesperson said.

Between mid-2017 and January 2022, including when Vallas ran for Chicago mayor in 2019, he lived in a Lincoln Park apartment he rented from Tressa Pankovits, an employee and campaign volunteer. Pankovits, who initially answered a request for comment from WTTW News and promised to call back, did not answer subsequent calls and messages.

However, when Vallas contributed $250 to Democrat Alexi Giannoulias’ successful campaign for secretary of state in September, Vallas listed his address as his Palos Heights home, according to records filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections. A spokesperson for Vallas said that was an error and would be corrected.

At the very least, this fact pattern suggest that Vallas needs to be more candid about his past and his future plans, if elected.  At the same time, I wonder what other questions are out there.

Irish Weather Balloon Missing and Feared Down Over Alaska

The balloon escaped on Tuesday morning past, by the Galway Technical Institute, according to Mr. Brendan O'Toole. It was supposed to be tethered for a three day period of observation, at an altitude of 300 meters and somehow was released. The balloon is orange colored with a diameter of 1.5 meters.

U.S. shoots down 'high-altitude object' over Alaskan airspace, White House says

The object was flying at 40,000 feet and "posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight," National Security Council official John Kirby said. Biden ordered the military to shoot it down.

Quinn considered running for mayor, but passed. He’s now endorsing U.S. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia over Mayor Lori Lightfoot, whom he supported in 2019, and Paul Vallas, whom Quinn chose as his running mate in 2014.

This will be a tragic loss don't you know!

Supt. David Brown likely to leave Chicago Police Department
Even if Mayor Lori Lightfoot is reelected and allows CPD Supt. David Brown to keep his job, he could be forced out anyway. In October, Brown turns 63, the mandatory retirement age for Chicago’s police officers and firefighters.

With His SOTU Ukraine Tie, Mitch McConnell Advertised Which Country He’s Most Concerned About

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has never shied away from shilling for Ukraine. But for Tuesday night’s State of the Union address, the Kentucky Republican took it up a notch with a wardrobe statement piece.

While attending President Joe Biden’s largely incoherent speech, McConnell forwent America’s red, white, and blue, instead wearing a tie emblazoned with the colors of the Ukrainian flag: blue and yellow. Like a NASCAR driver, McConnell was apparently just sporting the hues of the brand he represents.

Some aspects of this race are up in the air. That being stated, it can confidently be announced that Chicago will soon rid itself of the worst mayor of all time!

Sun-Times/WBEZ/Telemundo Chicago/NBC5 Poll: Lightfoot’s losing hand? Bleak numbers spell trouble for reelection bid
With the election less than three weeks away, three out of five voters disapprove of the job the mayor has done in her first term, more than half hold an unfavorable opinion of her and 71% think the city is on the wrong track.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s reelection battle is clouded in uncertainty, her chances of beating either U.S. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia or former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas in a run-off appearing slim — and her prospects for even making it to the April election up in the air.

Pictured: Biden Admin Hands Out Nonsensical ‘Black Resistance’ Flyers To BORDER PATROL Agents

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency

Border Patrol agents reacted with anger after the Biden Administration distributed random flyers titled ‘Black resistance’ and held ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ events while the southern border remains wide open.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that the flyers were disseminated among the Customs and Border Protection Agency, featuring a word cloud of names and phrases including #BlackPower, #BlackLivesMatter, George Floyd, Maxine Waters, and Colin Kaepernick.

The poster also contains generic terms like ‘Jazz’ and ‘Hip Hop’:

The reason given for the flyers is ‘Black History Month’.

One border patrol agent told the Beacon “BLM hates us, so does Maxine Waters,” adding “Kaepernick hates us. They’re anti-police advocates against the nation’s largest police agency.”

North Korea’s capital Pyongyang is expected to hold mass military parades this week but the country’s leader Kim Jong Un hasn’t been seen in public for more than a month.

NK News, a South Korean-based outlet, reports that Kim skipped a Politburo meeting on Sunday – the third time he’s ever done so.

Kim’s previous prolonged disappearances have provoked speculation about his health. Per NK News, his longest-ever break from public appearances was in 2014, when he was not seen for 40 days.

The parade, which will celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army, is expected to be held on Tuesday or Wednesday. It remains to be seen whether Kim will emerge from hiding to make an appearance.

NORTH KOREA THREATENS ‘OVERWHELMING NUCLEAR FORCE’ IN RESPONSE TO US MILITARY EXERCISES

Kim may use the event to showcase the latest hardware from his growing nuclear weapons and missile program that's brewing concern for the United States and its allies in Asia.

Last week, North Korea threatened to counter U.S. military moves with the "most overwhelming nuclear force" as it condemned U.S. plans to expand its joint exercise with South Korea and deploy more advanced military assets like bombers and aircraft carriers to the region.

North Korea fired more than 70 ballistic missiles in 2022, including potential nuclear-capable weapons designed to strike targets in South Korea or reach the U.S. mainland. It also conducted a slew of launches it described as simulated nuclear attacks on South Korean and U.S. targets in response to the expanded U.S. military drills with South Korea, which had been downsized during the Trump administration.

Abortion? How is that relevant to anything?

In a city with an off the chart murder rate, where you can't safely walk down State Street or Michigan Avenue, where the tax base is crashing, where the municipal pensions are hopelessly underwater, where the schools are shit.....they want to make abortion a major issue in the mayoral election? That's irrational and gives me pause.

Garcia, female supporters attack Vallas as a ‘fake Democrat’ who is an anti-abortion, pro-voucher threat to public school funding
As recent polls show mayoral challenger Paul Vallas surging and U.S. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia fading, Garcia is pushing an attack against Vallas that Mayor Lori Lightfoot has used for weeks: that Vallas is a “fake Democrat” who is, in reality, an anti-choice Republican and a threat to women’s rights.
