Whatever you have to do to sell more chicken, I guess

Chick-fil-A CEO and son of founder ‘shines’ shoes of black rapper; says whites must repent for their racism

Conservatives and Evangelical Christians long supported Chick-fil-A because its founder, the late S. Truett Cathy, ordered that his restaurants be closed on Sundays to allow employees to attend church and spend time with their families. Chick-fil-A also donated to charities that supported the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman, which enraged the Left. LGBT activists declared a boycott of the restaurants

I say BS to this elitist viewpoint which just happens to be way over the top in the PC arena

A tipping point on ending racism, an opportunity to get things right, yea, yea, yea. But what about the black on black crime, the black genocide aka abortion, it's peculiar that the elite don't like to talk about any of that. I have a feeling they don't want to embrace anything black, at least up close.

What makes her tick.....sad story

Turning childhood pain into healing policy — Preckwinkle hoping for rare moment of ‘significant change’

The 73-year-old Cook County Board president is drawing on that perspective now, hopeful for meaningful change — including “dramatically” reducing police funding — but not deluding herself that addressing centuries of racism will come easily.

Editor’s note: This article deviates from Sun-Times practice by spelling out a racial slur — an exception made after the reporter and her editors concluded that spelling the word conveys the true pain of the racism the subject experienced.

The past few weeks have been a pretty “poignant moment” for Toni Preckwinkle.

They rekindled painful memories of growing up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her walks home from

HILLSIDE, Ill. — Hardis White, 78, could hardly wait to break out of suburbia.

He dressed in a flannel shirt, jeans and a Bears cap, strode out of the rectangular bungalow he shares with his wife and daughter and folded his tall frame behind the wheel of his silver Nissan sedan.

The War on Poverty has become a Sad Joke

Lyndon B. Johnsons Great Society: How LBJs Welfare State Helped Ruin Black Communities“We waged a war on poverty and poverty won.”
The dust has settled and the evidence is in: The 1960s Great Society and War on Poverty programs of President Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) have been a colossal and giant failure. One might make the argument that social welfare programs are the moral path for a modern government. They cannot, however, make the argument that these are in any way effective at alleviating poverty.
In fact, there is evidence that such aggressive programs might make generational poverty worse. While the notion of a “culture of dependence” is a bit of a clichĂ© in conservative circles, there is

Why does the color of the coach matter?

Eric Bieniemy's journey shows frustrating plight of black coaches in NFL: 'Every year the standard changes'

Another head coach hiring cycle is about to close, and again the most embarrassing issue concerning the NFL has taken center stage.

I don’t say that lightly considering this is a league that has been navigating various clown shows for

What a racist statement that is. WTF is wrong with those people?

Chicago Fire Department still dominated by white males, aldermen told. Sorry folks, I want to see a color-blind, bias free city. Keeping stats on what color somebody is ..... BS.

Of the city’s 4,767 firefighters and paramedics, 65.2% are white, 16.6% are African-American and 15.9% are Hispanic. The department also is over 90% male.

A Chicago Fire Department with a long and documented history of discrimination and racial hijinks remains an overwhelmingly-white and predominantly-male bastion, disappointed aldermen were told Wednesday.
