Tucker Investigates: How did Chris Cuomo get into Yale?

I thought this only occurred at Notre Dame.

A Pennsylvania man broke the law when he pretended to point a gun at his neighbor, using his thumb and index finger to create the shape of the weapon, an appeals court has ruled. Stephen Kirchner was convicted of disorderly conduct last fall, but appealed the decision. This week an appeals court upheld his conviction, ruling that pointing a "finger gun" is in fact a criminal offense in this case.
The incident occurred in June 2018 and involved neighbors with a history of bad blood. When Kirchner and another neighbor, Elaine Natore, walked past Josh Klingseisen out mulching in his backyard, Kirchner made eye contact with Klingseisen, "then made a hand gesture at him imitating the firing and recoiling of a gun," according to court documents.
The gesture was caught on Klingseisen's surveillance cameras, which

Mayoral campaign ended nearly five months ago — but Lightfoot-Preckwinkle battle rages on
Lightfoot ripped into Preckwinkle for rebuffing her efforts to work together, saying “a lot of that is up to her.” But Preckwinkle fired back that she has sought to meet with Lightfoot and her top cop to discuss Chicago’s street violence, but to no avail.

Why Joe Kennedy must run for Markey Senate seat
The people of Massachusetts keep buying this crap. WTF

Niall O'Dowd  @niallodowd Aug 30, 2019

Young Joe Kennedy III is a talented politician who has been active and made an impact in his community, especially that of Irish America. The same can not be said for Ed Markey

Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts woke up to his worst nightmare last week when it was reported that Congressman Joe Kennedy who is 38, was likely to run against him.

It was probably inevitable given that Markey, despite being in national politics since 1976 first as a congressman, has only a 44 percent favorability after all those years. Amazingly, 14 percent of Massachusetts voters have never heard of him.

Little wonder that Kennedy is interested. He as much as committed in a Facebook post.

Mayor Lightfoot’s “State of the City” 2019

One Billion $$$$$ Shortfall !

A bankruptcy filing is probably appropriate at this juncture.

Advice to Mayor Lightfoot: you didn't create this mess, don't wear the jacket.

Liberals are creating echo chambers online. Samuel Adams writes:
To many, those on the extreme left appear to be more politically radical, insular, vocal and politically active than their moderate or even extremely conservative counterparts. It turns out that this is entirely correct.
In addition to a host of new studies and reports showing that liberals live in a digital bubble and have less diverse social media networks than moderates or conservatives, new data from the AEI Survey on Community and Society adds another layer to the story: Extreme liberals are notably more active on social media generally and are far more politically engaged than their moderate and even very conservative counterparts.
The AEI data reveals that social media has helped created an echo chamber around extreme liberals at rates significantly greater than other ideological groups. While 25% of very liberal respondents stated that social media made them “a lot” more involved with like-minded others, just 13% of moderates and very conservative identifiers believed that the internet increased their connections to similar people to that degree.
In other words, extreme liberals are almost twice as likely to interact with those who share similar outlooks to themselves online compared to conservatives and centrists.
Going further, progressives are also far more dominant online when expressing their views. Forty-eight percent of very liberal Americans report posting online about their politics, such as publicly supporting causes and campaigns, compared to just 23% of moderates and 30% of very conservative Americans. Once again, very liberal Americans are twice as likely to engage digitally compared to moderates. Such behaviors can further radicalize those in these echo chambers.

Lightfoot vows to show ‘path forward’ in Thursday’s ‘state of the city’ address

trying hard

As she looked back on the past 100 days on Wednesday, the mayor was cryptic about the days ahead. “We’re not going to be laying out in specific detail: here’s what our costs are, here’s what our finances are, here’s what the resources are going to be for different departments,” Lightfoot said Wednesday.

Though Mayor Lori Lightfoot has dismissed the first-100-days tradition as a “Hallmark holiday created by the media, not us,” the first-term mayor spent Wednesday touting her record of accomplishments — in her first 100 days.

Hillary is Lurking

By Richard K. Davis

Hillary Clinton, the Ma Barker of American politics, is still out hustling, still staying one step ahead of the law as she tries to weasel her way into the presidential sweepstakes. She says she isn’t running in 2020, but, as we know too well, truth is a fungible commodity to a Clinton.

The signs don’t look good. She just announced a fundraiser for the DNC at her Washington D.C. mansion with tickets as high as $50,000 (scraps for the homeless in the dumpster out back).

A couple of weekends ago she was at de Rothschild’s estate on Martha’s Vineyard -- go socialism! -- to celebrate Bill’s birthday, which included “quite an A-list cast of characters, including many Democratic party stalwarts.”

Recently she and Chelsea announced they were publishing a book in October about “gutsy women,” no

'Not a single penny' of payments to terrorists will be stopped

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas threatened this week that "million of fighters" would swarm Jerusalem and topple the Jewish state's capital city, warning that "no matter how many houses and how many settlements they declare that they [plan to build] here and there—they shall all be destroyed."
Abbas, in an Arabic language speech at Jalazone Refugee Camp near Ramallah that was heavy with threats of destruction, doubled down on the Palestinian government's policy of using public money to pay convicted terrorists and their families, telling his audience, "We will not accept their designation of our martyrs as terrorists. Our martyrs are the martyrs of the homeland."
Abbas went on to rally those in attendance to swarm the city of Jerusalem and destroy all Jewish people living there. His remarks are the clearest sign to date that the leader has no interest in playing a role in a revamped peace process spearheaded by President Donald Trump's White House.
"To Jerusalem we march, martyrs by the millions!" he was quoted as saying, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, a media watchdog site.
"We shall enter Jerusalem—millions of fighters! We shall enter it! All of us, the entire Palestinian people, the entire Arab nation, the Islamic nation, and the Christian nation," Abbas said. "They shall all enter Jerusalem."
