Today is a good day for Trump has to get rid of Sessions

The DOJ is not functioning. There is no leadership. If the public had any idea as to the behind the scenes infighting, they would be stunned.

Citing Recusal, Trump Says He Wouldn’t Have Hired Sessions

WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigatithat has dogged his presidency, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.”

[Read excerpts of The Times’s interview with President Trump.]

In a remarkable public break with one of his earliest political supporters, Mr. Trump complained that Mr. Sessions’s decision ultimately led to the appointment of a special counsel that should not have happened. “Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else,” Mr. Trump said.

In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, the president also accused James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director he fired in May, of trying to leverage a dossier of compromising material to keep

Liberals' worst nightmare: a second supreme court pick for Trump

When Donald Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch to the supreme court just weeks after taking office, the newly minted US president made good on a central promise of his campaign – to replace the late justice Antonin Scalia with a bonafide conservative.
That moment foreshadowed what is shaping up to be among the most indelible of

Rahm owes Daley an apology

It’s no secret Mayor Rahm Emanuel and former Mayor Richard M. Daley have been don’t invitem items lately due to the Rahmster’s “criticism” of the way the city was run before he won.
It brought out the public ire of Rich’s brother, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Bill Daley, who was also former President Barack Obama’s chief of staff.
Sneed is told, however, Rahm was spotted at a boffo congrats party of the city’s Who’s Who honoring Daley’s nephew Peter Thompson, who just got hired by Lazard, a corporate finance advisory company.
It was an evening of ebullient chitchat, but Sneed is told Rich and Rahm were not chatty Chucks.
“I didn’t see them talking with each other,” said a top Sneed source — who described the party at Chicago Cut Steakhouse on May 22 as the “the old guard of Chicago’s political scene.”
“It was like 1968 all over again watching the city’s old political warhorses . . . although some of them seemed not to be tracking,” said a second source  at the party.

'What the hell is going on in Chicago?' President Trump SLAMS Democrats ...

Hit piece..........who's behind it? Toni? Rahm? Someone else?

Being picked on because she stands out and accomplishes much
A working Cook County commissioner, trying to stay very involved in her very congested district. (Most of them don't work that hard) Please note that she doesn't have the luxury of a government vehicle and driver like Toni and Rahm. The tickets were promptly paid.

If anything, this article shows that she is out there working her ass off.

CFD diver dies, 2 others injured while searching for man in Chicago River

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A Chicago Fire Department diver died and two others were injured Monday night while searching for a 28-year-old man who fell off a boat on the Chicago River on the Lower West Side.

Firefighters responded at 7:49 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Ashland after others on the boat called 911 to report the fall, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

While searching for the man, one diver became separated from the rest of the team, said Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago.

Juan Bucio, 46, a firefighter who specialized in diving, was in the water when his dive partner lost contact with him. He was eventually located and pulled from the river by backup divers who jumped in to search for him.

Bucio was taken to Stroger Hospital by ambulance and CPR was performed on the way,

Memorial Day

What Memorial Day is Really All About

I received the following pics a couple of days ago in an email from my brother that was about to depart Phoenix for the flight home after a business trip.
We have all seen the gussied-up, sanitized, homogenized as well as somewhat impersonal photos and videos put out by the various media outlets this time every year, but nothing quite drives it home

UBI being pushed now

Alice in Wonderland’s White Queen believed six impossible things before breakfast.
Today’s guardians of opinion demand we believe six more... and another dozen by lunch.
That the mainstream news is precisely and invariably accurate, for example.
That deficits do not matter.
Or that a man offered $15 an hour to loaf will decline it for a job that only pays him $10.
Thus we arrive at the glittering gem of universal basic income, or “UBI.”
UBI is an idea gaining traction among those given to believing impossible things — college

Where is the Outrage?

Illinois government is so corrupt, and it's citizens are so numb, that nobody is questioning why this person is on a second government payroll. What exactly is she doing for the Cook County government on her days off, besides setting herself up for a second government pension?

If she is so talented she should be working for private industry somewhere, on her days off. She shouldn't be on a second government payroll. This practice looks bad, is wrong, corrupt and is part of the cause of the governmental pension crisis.

Personally, I would never have expected such tricks from such a reformer. It would probably be best if she just resigns from the General Assembly.

An Illinois lawmaker said Monday she was forced out of her gig with the Cook County Sheriff’s office, given no choice other than to resign from her part-time position after speaking publicly against powerful House Speaker Michael Madigan.
State Rep. Kelly Cassidy, a Democrat who represents portions of Chicago’s North Side, was the lead voice calling for an independent investigation after allegations of sexual harassment first surfaced within Madigan’s political staff. […]
Days after she publicly called for a review of harassment policies and past responses to complaints, Cassidy said she was told by Sheriff Tom Dart’s spokeswoman Cara Smith that Madigan’s chief of staff Tim Mapes had called “to confirm that I was still employed,” adding, “that call from Mapes felt like a warning, it was a little chilling.” […]
Last week, Cassidy said state Rep. Bob Rita “summoned” her over to discuss Dart’s bill and said, “I really just can’t get over the fact that you’re opposed to your boss’ bill.” […]
That conversation with Rita led Cassidy to speak to Smith once again. Cassidy said Smith told her that Rita had reached out to tell her, “when I worked for a politician, when I opposed him, I expect to be fired.”
“My blood ran cold at that,” Cassidy said. “It was very, very clear at that point, the combination of the call in February and this action by Rep. Rita, that this job was their point of leverage to use against me.” […]
Cassidy said she did not link Dart to the retaliation and chose to resign from her position. […]
“This is retribution, there is zero doubt in my mind,” she added. “This is about me having the gall to speak out.”

Warning to our politicians: You better do something to restore confidence

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen_f..

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.  [Some of these goals have become policy.]
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war. [Surrendering without a fight]
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament of the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

But his address nonetheless marked a commencement ceremony that pushed graduates to fight what both Gore and university President Wallace Loh described as challenges to American democracy.

Trump and the ‘Fourth Turning’ of America

In their 1997 book, The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy – What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America’s Next Rendezvous With Destiny, authors William Strauss and Neil Howe describe the history of America — the 13 colonies and the United States — as a fourfold cycle of generational types. People in a particular age group tend to share a distinct set of beliefs, attitudes, values and behaviors because they all grew up and came of age during a particular period in history. Strauss and Howe maintained that every 80 years American history has been marked by a crisis or “fourth turning” that destroyed an old order and created a new one. Reportedly, Steve Bannon, President Trump’s former chief strategist and senior counselor, is a proponent of the “fourth turning” idea.
Jay Weidner is a filmmaker, author and radio personality. In the essay, “Trump and the Fourth Turning,” he advances the intriguing notion that the unexpected election of Donald Trump to the presidency began a Fourth Turning — a time of upheaval and an opportunity to push back the Left and defeat their attempt

The Cursing Of Tribulation Trump Freaks

Do you know who I am?

  • From Second City Cop
  • On May 11, 2018 Alderman Arena walked into the 19th District Police Station at Addison and Halsted. He identified himself as Alderman Arena and stated he would like to park his personal car in the police parking lot so he and his family could go to the Cubs game. He was told the lot was full. He then responded, "I apparently didn't make myself clear, I AM ALDERMAN Arena!" He then went on to demand that they find room for him to park.

Once the officers realized this was the Alderman who makes complaints against officers, they allowed him to park in the area of the lot reserved for police officers and federal law enforcement.

This is clearly an abuse of power. This should be an easy one for you. There is a paper trail. We are told the district keeps a sign in sheet that will have the name Alderman John Arena along with his vehicle information on May 11, 2018. We are told this was the 2nd date he parked there within a week.

Apparently it's difficult for the alderman to scrape together the funds to park like everyone else on his 6 figure taxpayer paid salary.

Isn't this the same Alderman who paid top dollar for tickets during the world series to go see the Cubs in Cleveland. It appears as though he has money to pay top dollar and road trip to a game, but too cheap to pay for parking in his "hometown". (New Jersey is his real hometown).

Las Vegas to host world’s biggest orgy

This is decadence redolent of the last days of the Roman Empire and the pre-Nazi Weimar Republic.
Las Vegas Weekly reports that Las Vegas will host the world’s biggest orgy at “Sin City 8” in Embassy Suites on Swenson St., Las Vegas, from May 30 to June 3.
The 5-day sex “festival” by an outfit called Menage Life will include:
  • Workshops on “Sensual Bondage Basics” and the oxymoronic “Laughter Belongs in the Dungeon”.
