Is thailand, vietnam and singapore a puppet state of the us? below is list of authoritarian regimes supported by the US You lost the Vietnamese war, you never had involvement in Singapore and Thailand also became independent when the Japanese kicked out the British. The Japanese kicked out the French from Vietnam, after WW2 the French came back trying to fight the Vietnamese to gain control there again, this is the anti-French resistance war (what it's known as in Vietnam). After the French officially gave up the US then went over to try their luck and try to take the position France used to have there, but the Vietnamese with help from the Chinese fought off the US. You lost that war. And as I said, you have no relation to the other countries. The Japanese kicked the British out of Singapore, but when the Japanese lost WW2 the British came back temporarily, but it didn't last long and the Singaporeans became independent as they were sick of occupation. The only countries the US actually own in Asia are Guam. The US at least for a few decades after WW2 could be described as owning south Korea, but it's rather clear today that the US doesn't have control of south Korea.
Now we all get to pay higher tazes lets celebrate!
