I agree with you on primaries being partisan....it is a joke right now.....also regarding the article's topic, part of the reason nobody cares is that our local news is totally liberal and Democrat progressive. NO alternatives exist besides a few local talk radio shows....We need to get Fox or some conservative leaning media company to buy a local station or newspapeor or something....even WGN has now gotten very liberal with almost no even handed reporting..even NYC has New York Post....our Proud Union Homes are so GD afraid to buck the system even though the black progressive movement is slowly pushing us out.....our local leaders have in my opinion, let us down...

Remember when Chicago was run by Richard J Daley. The people around him were a gift from God too. Ken Sain, Dan Shannon, Ed Kelly. Cashmir Eddie Sweibel, George Dunne, Joseph McDonough and Frank Sullivan. You never had the finance problems with the pensions. and dont forget OLD MAN DALEY NEVER HAD A MUNICIPAL STRIKE. Your taxes never doubled and tripled like these days.

The only thing Brandon Johnson is qualified for is to be a teacher at a preschool daycare center.

The theme of this blog has changed. We are now headed into a period of extreme political and economic troubles. We want to increase everyone's awareness and show them how to weather the storm. We are going to begin including articles and videos on prepping (food, water, shelter, medicine, self-defense,) basic economics and general SHTF lifestyle changes.

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
