A former employer, Maya Santamaria, of both George Floyd and Derek Chauvin, the officer arrested for Floyd’s death, claims the two men may have known each other in their roles as security at her former bar.
The owner of the South Minneapolis club said both men worked security at her club and their shifts overlapped. She says the two men both worked for her as early as last year.
