UPDATE: IS IT ALL ABOUT ORGAN HARVESTING?
When Ralph Northam was running to become governor of Virginia in 2017, Planned Parenthood was behind him every step of the way.
“It’s really clear that Virginians want and need a fierce champion like Dr. Northam to stand up for them and to stand up for women’s health,” Jennifer Allen, chief executive of Planned Parenthood Virginia PAC and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, said as she announced that abortion supporters would spend up to $3 million to elect Northam, The Washington Post reported at the time.
Planned Parenthood also praised Northam for taking “bold actions” to support abortion.
In the end, Planned Parenthood invested $1.99 million into Northam’s campaign, according to The Virginia Public Access Project.
Ralph Northam yearbook page shows men in blackface and KKK robe
NORFOLK
A photo from Gov. Ralph Northam’s medical school yearbook shows two men, one in blackface and one in a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood, on the same page as the future governor.
The photo, which The Virginian-Pilot obtained a copy of Friday from the Eastern Virginia Medical School library, comes from the 1984 yearbook, the year Northam graduated.
On the half-page set aside for Northam, there is a headshot of him in a jacket and tie, a photo of him in a cowboy hat and boots and a third of him sitting casually on the ground, leaning against a convertible.
The fourth photo on the half-page has two people, one wearing white Ku Klux Klan robes and a hood, the other with his face painted black. The person with the black face is also wearing a white hat, black jacket, white shirt with a bow tie and plaid pants. Both are holding canned drinks.
It’s unclear who the people in costume are.
Under the photo of the men in blackface and the Klan hood are listed Northam’s alma mater, Virginia Military Institute, and his interest: “Pediatrics.” His quote is listed as “There are more old drunks than old doctors in this world so I think I’ll have another beer.”
The governor’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday afternoon.
The chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia, Jack Wilson, said in a statement: “Racism has no place in Virginia. These pictures are wholly inappropriate. If Governor Northam appeared in blackface or dressed in a KKK robe, he should resign immediately.”
A few years back, defenses of terminating pregnancies would mention the size of the fetus as being minuscule, barely the size of one of your fingers. The discussions passed and we only heard from Evangelicals and pro-lifers on the issue. This latest development where legislation approves terminating fully developed babies, even at dilation and later is NOT even closely related to a woman's choice about her body. That human being is alive with a heart and a brain. For the likes of this Governor, a medical doctor himself, or the likes of Andrew Cuomo to make political hay over this topic is more than appalling. These are liberals that championed ending the death penalty for convicted, violent criminals, but see nothing wrong with killing infants. By doing so, they themselves become criminals for which there is no retribution. How in the world can they consider this civilized?
ReplyDeleteWhats next, a woman having a conversation with her doctor if he toddler misbehaves?
DeleteAs goofy as the world is today, this Virginia governor might have withstood the backlash on this horrible legislation. But the photo from his medical school yearbook in blackface or the kkk garb will probably be the end of his political career.

DeleteI wonder what is the official position of the 19th Ward Democratic Organization with regards to abortion and infanticide?
ReplyDeleteAccording to the website of the Illinois State Board of Elections, Fran Hurley has taken a total of $7958.48 from Personal PAC, an abortion promoter. The most recent contribution was $500.00 on 11-24-2018.
