You ever see an off duty cfd hero he most likely is plastered and looking to tell stories.

Word is that Alsip FD was bewildered and let fire get away from them until CFD showed up and gave them some encouragement.

Shame on Alsip village for not getting that brush cut down ahead of time.

These kinds of things really draw out all of the "heroes" don't they. I wonder how many retired pukes were at the scene trying to act as advisors

Not a firefighter and have no family in the business. Somehow I think that the fire DID get out of control. Probably not the fault of Alsip FD. Also I am sure that some CFD did show up and gave some assistance. My guess is that overall, the Chicago FD has more experience than the suburban Dept. All probably worked together well. Despite the snotty comments posted above.

True story....C.F.D. arrived and was told by OLFD command staff to stay back.
    Lot of name calling happened.

OL fire fighters were also lost and wandering around in the smoke. Found by CFD and reunited with their units.
