British troops getting ready for another parade |
The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care. Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.

Off Topic but just found this editorial from the Tribune that really pissed me off:
ReplyDeleteEditorial: Scrap the mortgage interest deduction
Mortgage rates
Congress should do taxpayers a favor and eliminate the income tax deduction for mortgage interest. It's popular but distorts the housing market.
Editorial Board
Home ownership is commonly regarded as a big part of the American Dream. But most adults know that pursuing some dreams can be too expensive to justify. The mortgage interest deduction, a subsidy to homebuying, is one of those. Curtailing or abolishing it should a big part of any serious tax reform.
Now I don't know about the rest of you, but the mortgage interest deduction is one of the only true financial advantages of owning a home. For me, our house is our single biggest asset. Take away the mortgage interest and property tax deductions and many middle income families will walk away from their mortgages. What would cause them to stay? Some may even try to recover their investments through false insurance claims. Why then even think of buying a home?
Why the Tribune should advocate elimination of this baffles me. They proven themselves financially inept as a business enterprise. They are a company that has gone through bankruptcy and has the advantage of selling of parts of their media and property empire. We aren't that lucky. If the TRONC corporation really wanted to do something positive for the home owners of Chicago, they'd get rid of the Maury show, and mind their own fucking business.
The Chicago Tribune s*cks. Hope they continue to fail and eventually cease publishing.
ReplyDeleteoff topic - just saw this item:
ReplyDeleteA bad weekend for the New York Giants just got a whole lot worse.
The team lost superstar WR Odell Beckham Jr. to a broken ankle during yesterday's loss to the L.A. Chargers, and after much speculation, it has now been announced that Beckham will require surgery.
If there's any justice, this broken ankle will be on the same leg this P.O.S. raised while imitating a dog taking a leak after a recent touchdown celebration. Karma truly is a bitch.
The Brits have very few weapons and are a small force. Their population is largely unarmed and their govt is succumbing to left wing ideology.
