The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care.
Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.
I guess Matt must be a little nervous after all the financial help given to build Buona on Western now only to find out the the family is anti-union, unions the backbone of the Chicago Democratic Party.
All I can say about Tif... "improved Property " 7mill in Tif a Total of 14 million Eminent Domain of untold private co... bla bla bla and then the famed Ginger Rugi Border Book " Deal" scraped and sold for parts... 750k how did we the Tax Payers get the Tax Dollars back on that? Not to mention who bought it ?and who profited from it ?
Let's put them out of business! That will show them. Then we will have another nice boarded up vacant property on lovely Western Avenue. Or maybe Bernice's Nail Salon can go in there. I just walked down Western and could not get over how badly we need some nail salons in our neighborhood.
I go there, their food is good, the portions are ample and I sure as hell prefer Buona to looking at an abandoned service station that fills up with Christmas trees that remain unsold the entire Christmas season. Buona beef was built with union labor. Get over yourselves.
And before anybody says I don't know what I'm talking about I come from the neighborhood where the first buona beef was open. Joe Sr and my father worked a Blue Collar job together before their father laid the foundation for the success that they now enjoy. So they too come from humble beginnings. Unfortunately sometimes people forget where they come from and how hard it was to get to where they now are. So for them to call hard-working tradesman's scumbags and thieves is very confusing to me.
Those videos weren't filmed on Western

DeleteWe need more taco stands in Garcia Ridge.
DeleteFood is good compared to what by buona? The burrito joint? Mr.sub?
DeleteJust another example of how a small family owned business gets bigger and forgets where it came from.
