Hope and change, 8 years later

WHAT HAPPENED WHEN VOTERS PUT A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER IN THE WHITE HOUSE

Obama-Mask-SC
By Teri O'Brien -
Dr. Martin Luther King, quoting abolitionist Theodore Parker, said that "the arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice." Watching our country proceed headlong on the downside of Barack Obama’s socialist failure curve, we can clearly see now that “hope and change” is definitely not what a lot of people thought it was cracked up to be.
Not so in 2008, remember? That was when some people, the naive, the emotionally-driven, the uninformed, and frankly, in some cases, the outright stupid, were besotted with the idea that a dopey, jug-eared unaccomplished empty suit with a game show host smile and the ability to read from a TelePrompTer was the savior they had been waiting for. Of course, 2008 was when that very savior, Barack Hussein Obama, was striding across
the world stage, speechifying from inside styrofoam Roman columns, reciting incomprehensible idiocy like “We are the ones we have been waiting for.”

Notwithstanding brilliant pearls of wisdom like that issuing from his pie hole, some people were asking “What is a Barack Obama?” A better question would have been "What is a 'community organizer'?” a resume item that Barack Obama proudly highlighted as demonstrating his readiness to be President of the United States.
Knowledgeable observers realized that far from being a good candidate to be president, a community organizer is a radical leftist acolyte of commie agitator Saul Alinsky, who laid out his strategy for income redistribution in his book Rules for Radicals. The objective that he advocated, pitting the Haves v. HaveNots, was, and is, completely incompatible with the Constitution of the United States, a document written by men who respected private property and the rule of law, and enshrined those values in that precious founding document.
As Alinsky explains, a community organizer’s job is to “rub raw the sores of discontent, and galvanize them for radical social change.” In other words, get poor people really ticked off so that they will demand that the haves hand over their stuff “by any means necessary.” Throw in the race card, tell black people that their lot in life is due to “racism,” and you really have something, which is precisely what Obama had in mind. (“If I had a son …”)
Being a community organizer is not only not good preparation for the job Leader of the Free World. It is a guarantee that based on his beliefs, the candidate is absolutely not suitable and should never have been considered for the job. A community organizer cannot take an oath, at least not honestly, to uphold the Constitution anymore than a proponent of sharia law can. The fact that so many people didn't realize that is a testimony to the success of the Left's project to dumb down the population. It’s not a coincidence that the former community organizer Barack Obama is also not an Article II natural born citizen. He is the guy the Founders warned us about, not because he is incompetent but because his beliefs and values are at war with the Constitution. That's where the whole "can't elect a first-term Senator" thing falls apart. That's not the problem we got when we elected Obama.
That a “community organizer” like Barack Obama would have stated that he wasn’t a fan of the Constitution as far back as 2001 should have come as no surprise, or wouldn’t have to anyone willing to take the trouble to connect the dots.  This was not your father’s democrat. Constitution, and separation of powers my rear end! Ain't nobody got time for that!
When Barack Obama said, at his first inaugural address in 2009,
What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them, that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply.
The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works -- whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified ...
He was simply restating the leftist belief that the ends justify the means. He restated that belief during his recent trip to Argentina, where he arrived triumphant from sucking up to the Castro brothers, when he said:
I guess to make a broader point, so often in the past there's been a sharp division between left and right, between capitalist and communist or socialist.  And especially in the Americas, that's been a big debate, right?  Oh, you know, you're a capitalist Yankee dog, and oh, you know, you're some crazy communist that's going to take away everybody's property.  And I mean, those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works.  You don't have to worry about whether it neatly fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory -- you should just decide what works.
Whatever works, not what is legal or Constitutional. (I refrain here from stating the obvious; that is, that communism has never worked anywhere, unless you include the fevered brains of guys like Barack Obama, Bill Ayers or Crazy Bernie Sanders.)
And to end where we began, with Dr. King, also not what is race-neutral, as in the embodiment of Dr. King’s dream that people be judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.
The Alinskyite analysis includes the eternal leftist trope about the irredeemable “institutional” racism of America. It’s baked into the cake and is used endlessly to impose the Left’s income redistributionist social engineering agenda. Race neutral evaluation of facts and circumstances informed by experience and common sense is inherently “racist,” which is obvious because of “disparate impact” on racial minorities.
If blacks are 13% of the population, but over 50% of homicide offenders are black, then something must be wrong with our racist justice system; therefore, if you are a landlord, you do not have the right to refuse to rent your property to criminals. That, you see, according the Obama Regime is “racist,” and they are not going to stand for it.
His Department of Housing and Urban Development has warned that “[b]ecause of widespread racial and ethnic disparities in the U.S. criminal justice system, criminal history-based restrictions on access to housing are likely disproportionately to burden African-Americans and Hispanics. While the Act does not prohibit housing providers from appropriately considering criminal history information when making housing decisions, arbitrary and overbroad criminal history-related bans are likely to lack a legally sufficient justification.”
This despite the fact that the Fair Housing Act passed by Congress does not prohibit landlords from refusing to rent to criminals, black, white or purple polka-dotted. Duly-enacted Congressional statutes? Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Couple this warning with the recent push by the Obama Regime to grant clemency to “non-violent” (see Chicago) drug criminals and release them into society, once again, guess who has targets on their backs? Guess who will end up having to rent to thugs or live next door to them?
With every passing day, the mask slips a bit more, and more people see what should have been more than obvious in 2008; that is, that the election of a “community organizer” guarantees the following policies: government-sanctioned racism, income redistribution and the weakening of the United States of America.
