Outrageous! Public School Students Taught To 'Pledge Allegiance To An International Flag' | The Sean Hannity Show: It seems like every day, we see new examples of American schoolchildren being indoctrinated with left-wing ideas.

A story circulating about Sutherland school has parents of students attending Sutherland receiving an email in which the Assistant Principal Regina Roberts commenting on the much criticized performance of Beyonce at the Super Bowl. Specifically, Ms. Roberts calls for understanding of the Black Panthers. No mention of the lyrics of her song "Formation" was made in the Roberts email. Since the 2015/2016 school year began in September, several teachers have left or resigned. A good number of parents have taken their children out of Sutherland and enrolled them in other schools in the neighborhood. A few weeks ago, the Beverly Review posted an article about unsanitary conditions found in Sutherlands washrooms and the improper disposal of garbage. These maintainance issues came after complaints regarding lack of snow removal around the school were made. Reading these accounts in the local paper calls into question who is the overall point of contact responsible for these issues. In my book, its the principal who oversees school operations and holds vendors, contractors and employees feet to the fire to ensure students attending Sutherland can receive the best education in a safe and sanitary environment.
ReplyDeleteAlthough everyone is entitled to their opinions on social issues, those beliefs should not be expressed as a blanket belief of Sutherland school administration. There's something going on at Sutherland that seems out of whack. In years past, it was a local school that students got on waiting lists to get enrolled. With this years departure of several teachers, and students leaving to go to other grammar schools, the improvements promised with the firing of the old principal and the hiring of a new principal, it appears the LSC responsible for bringing the new team on have missed their mark. And a continuation of this trend at Sutherland will surely have a trickle down effect on the neighborhood.
I am not surprised at all that this stuff is happening. It is probably much more common than we know. I really have never met a CPS teacher who is not liberal. They also are knee jerk union apologists....even when their union President is an unhinged wacko. Sharkey the VP of the Union is a Socialist....these radicals purposely use their position in a union to further specific political views - far left liberal views. My kids never went to a public school yet I had to pay for those schools....not one Democrat politician ever gave a rats a** about me. These teachers are really mis calculating the feelings out there for them. Especially after the Black Lives Matter suck up their union did. What a slap in the face to our Men and Women in Blue. They have a lot of nerve demanding more and more....they claim they have degrees - some advanced degrees....yet they seem to have NO ability to improve performance....in my world (the real world) they would not be given a raise - they would get a pink slip.

DeleteNothing new at CPS. In my 30 plus years at CPS I did not encounter one principal that had any class or brains. Most got their credentials at Chicago State and need I say more.
ReplyDeleteI will not support them if they strike. And to all the CPS teachers who actually think that the parents support you - you are morons. The parents are sick of this crap. They just cant say it to your faces because you hold their kids hostage. Well I will tell you - we are sick of your crap. we don't care how bad you say you have it. You are screwing up everyones lives and education with your stupid greedy antics. If you have it so bad then quit. Or at least quit whining to all of us. You have it better than most of the people you are crying and complaining to. Wake up.
