Debt Under Obama Up $8,000,000,000,000. As he prepares to leave office, the young people, the folks that elected him, will be saddled with an incredible sum of debt from which they will never emerge.
The day before Thanksgiving, CNS News reported this wonderful story:
“The debt of the federal government has now increased by more than $8,000,000,000,000 during the time President Barack Obama has been in office, according to the official debt numbers published by the U.S. Treasury.
The total federal debt, which was $18,722,746,583,118.03 at the close of business on Monday, now equals about $159,007 per household. It has increased approximately $68,756 per household during Obama’s presidency.”
Try not to choke on these numbers with your mashed potatoes and gravy:
“…when Obama was inaugurated, the total debt of the federal government was $10,626,877,048,913.08. On Nov. 23, 2015, it was $18,722,746,583,118.03 Thus, so far in Obama’s presidency, the federal debt has increased $8,095,869,534,204.95.”
More free stuff, more free stuff! Hey, lets not forget those special date nights he and the Mrs. had in New York, firing up AirForce One to take them there. Thats a couple hundred grand a toss!
ReplyDelete"Obama has no financial discipline or even understanding"...
ReplyDeleteHow is that any different than any other democrat Washington or Springfield?
This is true of most Democrats anywhere they handle the purse strings. If you think about it, their whole message is giveaway giveaway giveaway....and the Democratic voter mantra is ... gimme gimme gimme....they take from certain groups and redistribute to others. That is what their party has become solely. If you work - they take from the sweat of your brow to give to those with their hands out. When they cant just take more and more they just borrow and borrow with no fiscal responsibility. And when you call for some fiscal sanity they pull out the political theater with their accomplices in the media....Rauner is evil simply because he says enough of the fiscal irresponsibility. City workers make ALOT more than the average citizen. That is not fair and it cant continue .....just like the laws of nature catch up.....and you think the minorities are mad NOW? Just wait when we hit the fiscal brick wall and real actual deep cuts MUST be made...like 40 percent cuts.....without a change of uncomfortable proportions now we will be faced with truly severe cuts down the road, but not that far down the road!!!
