19th Ward Takeover of Worth Township

Just a good alderman

This past Election Tuesday saw Worth township flooded with 19th Ward operatives. When it was over and the election results tallied, the slate put together by Matt O'Shea was declared the victor. In fact, O'Shea won all the seats except one. His political power now extends all the way to Harlem Avenue.

Congratulations, I guess. I just hope you don't lose your focus.

Now all the suburban shopping areas will look like Western Avenue.

I'll have to shop west of Harlem.

actually, it means control over approximately $10 million in annual insurance work, control over school boards and fire districts. and another 70 jobs.

good stuff for the Democratic organization of the 19th ward.
these suburbanites have no idea what just hit them or what vampires they just went to bed with.

they are frigging idiots anyway in the suburbs,
they just voted a complete township slate out and a new machine run slate in because they were told they are going to get a one time rebate, township wide, of 3 million bucks???

so your old well run and civic managed slate were great fiscal Stewarts of your township finances, to the point you have a few million in surplus all so you can get a one time rebate of about $190 bucks per household...and they are telling you ONE TIME!!!!

after that watch how we a running in the red within 2 years and all of our taxes go up by about $750 to $1,000 per household to cover it.

Orland park suburbanites just last year finally rid themselves of control of the 19th ward parasites sucking the resources of suburbs dry, on the Orland fire board, run by the joyce's hynes family, they ran a fire board into debt of over $33 million per year, the residents finally woke up and realized how much their taxes went up as a result of the Chicago machine sucking their resources from them and dumped the Maher led joyce sheehan crew out, since they have already cut nearly 7 million form their budgets.

good luck worth township, I cant wait to see your books in about 3 years!

Michael P. Joyce is the biggest behind the scenes politician in the history of Illinois. His influence is second to none. He has absolute control at the following agencies,
      Cook County Sheriff
      Cook County Recorder
      Cook County Board
      Worth Township
      Lyons Township
      Orland Township
      Oak Lawn
      Alsip
      Hometown
      Bedford Park
      Summit
      McCook
      Bridgeview

Gov. Quinn, Madigan and Emanuel have been known to step out of a meeting to take one of his infrequent phone calls.

The beneficiary of all this power? The people of the 19 th ward and Leo high school.

That and an army of doorknockers - a PAID army of government hacks - the same drones who stand around our voting places handing us literature for whatever bum they are promoting. They have the time because they can take off work - and not lose a penny. The rest of us have to work to pay our bills and cannot just tell our bosses that we are taking a day or a week off or whatever - just for some candidate running for some office somewhere. Plus they then use the control to hand out additional jobs and favors to the favored. These people could care less about anybody outside their orbit. In other words the average guy.

Matt OShea is definitely an improvement over Ginger by far. However, let's not go overboard. The things he does and his attention to our Ward are good things for sure, but these are things that are really just expected of elected officials in places outside Chicago, Crook County, and ILLinois. In fact a lot of the things mentioned here that he supposedly has done or achieved mean nothing to me. If these guys would spend a little more time worrying about the needs of the average voter and not just their union backers, the neighborhood, city, County, and State would be in far better shape.

It is interesting that people on this blog talk about certain individuals who supposedly have power like "Pickles" Joyce. As far as I know he was not on the ballot anywhere. Have no idea who he is. I would love it for Murph to give us some background on who he is. There is a lot of inside baseball talk here - and it is meaningless to most of us who do know these people - or are not insiders. In fact it ticks me off that certain people are "in the know" while the rest of us are just chumbalones. That is exactly what is wrong with this declining Ward, declining city, declining County and declining State. Democrat hack insiders. The system no longer works for the average Joe...just someone who knows "Pickes"

Michael P. Joyce is an attorney and businessman. He is a tireless promoter of the Democratic party and Leo Catholic High School. A former boxer he now works as a boxing promoter.

He is the son of the legendary Jeremiah Joyce who also gave of himself to his friends and neighbors.

Pickle Joyce is the real thing. He does like helping people and gets very little of of it except satisfaction.

Obviously he is related then, to Kevin Joyce our former State Rep. Not a bad guy either. But telling me that he is "son of the legendary Jeremiah Joyce who gave of himself" makes me wonder what koolaid you are drinking. Jeremiah is a behind the scenes manipulator of our system for HIS CASH BENEFIT. He has or had the concessions doled out to insiders at O'Hare if I am not mistaken. A complete insider who cares not a whit for regular folk like me. Where does he live these days, is it North Side or Florida ?

Thanks Mr. Info Tech. I took your advice and found a few Google headings:

"Sheriff News: Whatever happened to Pickles Joyce?"

"Joyce Pickles/Facebook". Here it appears that she is a 60 plus year old blonde lady

"Refrigerator Pickles Joyce" where we learn about the recipe for Refrigerator Pickles Joyce. Gotta bookmark this one.

"Auntie Joyces mustard Pickles Recipe" - pretty self explanatory.

Not much in the way of a biography available. He must be some sort of Bruce Wayne type character who lives up on the hillside of Longwood Drive in one of those Manor homes...he probably has a retrofitted Paddy Wagon painted black with a lot of gadgets. He roams the streets of Beverly at night and helps rescue drunk Ward workers from DUIs who are stumbling out of Cork & Kerry. Now I understand why you want to keep his identity secret. He is truly a mystery.

Those posters "in the know" - (the political insiders who think they are cute posting inside baseball on a blog that is intended to shine some light on the happenings in our Ward - in effect breaking through the blackout of some news that doesn't fit) are not helping their own credibility by doing so here. Most Ward members have no idea who
"Johnny O" is - and do not care. We do care that our taxes and fees keep going up - almost a new or higher fee or tax every month. The Democrats in the 19th Ward USED to care about their constituents but now behave more like a syndicate. As Murph says I hope you don't lose your focus. Unfortunately the Democrats did so years ago, blindly following a Party that has swung far to the left. And in so doing also helping to create a black Machine in Chicagoland that is now pushing them - and us - to the sides.

It is likely, given the despicable history of cronyism and doorknockers who are doing political work on OUR time - that these guys are using valuable time on matters that will not help OUR community. And after all that is what we elected Matt to do. Just sayin.

What exactly do you think he can do RIGHT NOW ? He is not Moses and cannot turn back the floodwaters ! It is not the Alderman's job to manage Streets and Sanitation and sewage issues. If there is an inherent problem with the sewers on your block then of course the city will need to do something. If this is an exception then it is just an act of nature. Any basement that is by definition below the ground level can possibly flood. I am sorry that you are dealing with that issue. I know my relatives in the Western Suburbs are also dealing with this issue. It is not fun, I know.

Murph, I saw your updated comment about Matt not having anything to do with suburban elections. What puzzles me is that how did you ever for a second think that Matt O'Shea was smart enough to organize a cast of characters that were capable of winning. Matt O'Shea is not a smart guy, you ever hear him talk? He sounds like Rocky Balboa. You see a bad guy on the street CALL 911......CALL 911 ....CALL 911 And to think the sheep around here treat him like he is a celebrity. No wonder Matt thinks he is something special.
