Bishop Paprocki: Democratic Party backs "Intrinsic Evils"

I've wondered about this for some time. How can people go to Fishers on a Sunday morning and pray to God then vote for pro-abortion candidates the following Tuesday?

Are they faking it? Are they not really praying to God? Do they disagree with God? Do they argue with God? Do they win the argument? It just doesn't make sense.

I have wondered the same thing for some time. My only guess is that they rationalize it....yeah but..etc...or maybe I think liberal minded people do not seem to have a good mental, spiritual, or emotional yard stick to measure the degree of variance between one topic and another. They do not see abortion as that bad. We see a mental image of a pile of human fetuses torn to pieces filling up Soldier Field. Apparently they only see a scared woman with nowhere to turn.
Some however KNOW it is wrong and that is why they are unhappy. Many really do not follow the church and give lip service and use the Catholic church as a prop in their positions as politicians. After all, Maloney, Dart, Cunningham, Hurley and all the other "Irish Catholics" are ALL pro abortion. Yet they get treated just fine by the local churches. I personally have not heard the word abortion uttered in a church in years let alone a sermon. (i am sure there have been some but not many).

The more accurate term for those in favor of abortions should be pro death, not pro choice.

Pro CHOICE is just a politicaly acceptable term. It really is just death.

I am waiting for the day when a Catholic priest refuses communion to one of those local politicians whose views on abortion are welll known.

They are not faking it, but just show how they are a big part of whats wrong with America. America has a majority of stupid, uniformed people. Watch them in November when they re-elect Obama and elect fellow comrades Cunninghsam and Hurley

they are Hypocrites, which is so typical of the liberl/Democrat Party. Things only apply to them when its convenient to them. God IS watching and sees all. To be a supporter of Abortion is the same as committing Abortion in the eyes of God.

    7. Abortion, birth control, etc., are not Articles of Faith, like the Immaculate Conception. Some of us Catholics have our own conscience, that is, the one that God gave, not the one implanted by the Church. The Churches teaches many good things -- some of these are accepted, some are not, and this is on both "sides," friends.

The only reason for people in this neighborhood to vote for democratic candidates is because of the democratic party's support for organized labor. Unions provide working men and women the right to earn a living wage in safe working conditions with fair benefits so that workers can provide for their families with dignity. It is a total slap in the face to any person who pays Catholic school tuition for local elected officials to put up local candidates who support the right to kill babies.

What does the tuition have to do with it? I'm missing something?

Not true at all, really. Unions impoverish workers by forcing them to give massive sums to political candidates and campaigns that go against their interests, while bulling and harassing and threatening any worker who wants to earn a fair wage. Along the way, their insistence on unfair wages that no-one can live with forces companies to close up and flee the area.

When you see a factory off-shored, thank a union.

True. The abortion industry came up with the pro-choice name in order to hide what they do. They are ashamed that they favor abortion, so they hide behind the vague word 'Choice' which can refer to anything even outside of the abortion issue.

    4. Marks: Saying unions are responsible for off-shoring is like saying the US is responsible for Al Qaida.

And this notion that unions force their members, etc.? Dufus, the reason so many union members quit in Wisconsin is because UNIONS WERE NEUTERED BY THE GOVERNOR. GEt it? Sports fans don't pay money to see a losing team, union members, including myself, won't pay dues if it matters not a jot. Do you want the article? I'll give you the article.

If the republican party would just embrace workers' rights, the democrats would lose every race.

    1. The Republican party embraces workers rights, and the Democrats oppose them.

Most important is union membership. Republicans favor giving workers the choice of whether or not to join. Democrats favor forcing workers to join unions against their will.

As for Democrats losing races, lets look at the recent Wisconsin situation, with the governor and reforms. The governor pushed through some pro-workers-rights reforms, over the opposition of unions (which, interestingly enough, funded their ads with money taken from workers against their will).

One of the important reforms was to give government workers the choice of whether or not to stay in unions.

Guess what? Not surprising; the workers fled the unions. More than half, in fact. Rretty close to the same percentage of voters who gave the Wisconsin governor his recall victory.

Yeah, looks like the Democrats like Rahm have really been all for workers rights. By the way, wasn't that OShea who signed a letter asking the teachers not to strike after supporting efforts to make it nearly impossible for the teachers to strike (75% plus one).
I hope my union never gives OShea a dime.

Interesting, because all that I hear is how the Conference of Catholic Bishops oppose Romney and Ryan. Ryan masquerades as a Catholic (for votes) but subscribes to the philosophy of Ayn Rand (an atheist).

I read somewhere---cannot think of the document---that these people were not allowed to create policy. Once upon a time we had ecclesiastical courts, royal courts (King's courts), and of course state courts. You had three different legal jurisdictions and three taxing authorities to screw you. Each enforced different laws for whichever they preferred.

What in the heck was the name of that document? It was written by a bunch of rabble who founded their own country. They were engaged in treason, and they even specified the definition of treason in the document as well as bill of attainder and corruption of blood.

The name of it escapes me. Well, these group of farmers and entrepreneurs---many of whom were philosophers, scholars, historians, lawyers, publishers, etc.---created this free country. They said no more religious courts. No more King's courts. The rule of law would be supreme and liberty would prevail over tyranny.

See, at one time, men in robes (or men in wigs depending on the authority) could take your property and rights from you using their own law and preferences.

Throughout history from the Vatican to Tehran, when these religious men usually in robes or some odd dress take over, it tends to take tyranny (and taxation) and corruption to perverse levels.

We do not have communism. We do not have theocracy. We have Constitutional democracy. THAT is the document: The Constitution of the United States.

It is not that I am opposed to religion or preachers. It is just that they are so notorious throughout history and today, whether it be their handling of corruption, children, tax dollars, collections, or "reverend" Jeremiah Wright. I mean, I do not trust any of them anymore. The last thing I want, in our Constitutional Democracy, are them lobbying or creating policy. Whether it be the religious right (Robertson, e.g.) or religious left (Jesse Jackson, e.g.).

Both the religious right and left are looking out for themselves, their own public policy preferences, and are threat to Constitutional democracy. Our Founding Fathers understood this. Somehow, today, many do not.

It's just a matter of time until Maloney gets on this blog and clarifies that he is anti-abortion and profamily. Good. That does not permit him to endorse pro abortions candidates like Hurley. In fact being a neighborhood leader, I think he has an obligation to call her out on that position.

In a Society so Modern and sophisticated technologically, it is abhorant that it would ever come to Abortion anyways. So much birth control is available nowadays that it is like an ancient and barbaric evil actt from MedievilTimes, like burning Witches at the Stake.

Matt O'Shea is clearly in favor of abortion. If he was not supportive of abortion he would not have selected the anti-life extremist Fran Hurley as his candidate. He also would not continue to volunteer his time for the pro-death Democrat party as committeeman to support pro-abortion candidates throughout the city and state.

It personally makes me sick to my stomach to see the Fran Hurley signs in the heavily Catholic 19th Ward, home to CK, Barnabas, Fisher, Cajetans, Martyrs, Christina, Walters....It is as if nobody cares anymore....the neighborhood looks the same...same houses....same looking schools...same streets...same stores....but the insides are rotted. Where is there a stand up guy....or gal who is willing to challenge these brainwashed ninnies? No offense, but O'Shea and Hurley do not have the most impressive resumes...especially for a neighborhood like ours. Dennis Miller said it well....paraphrasing "find someone with a fair mind who is open minded about the election ....take him or her to the side and be straightforward and heartfelt in how you believe...if that person is receptive ...then drive them to the polls on election day." I am working as a Election Judge for the REpublicans....anything I see I am recording with my phone and will call the Republicans. So look out liberal Democrat trolls.....we will be watching.....and reporting.

Fran Hurley is not only not qualified to represent out community, she is also a liar and a fraud. In her interview with the Sun Times editorial board, which is posted online, she says Mike Madigan is bad for Illinois, yet she accepted the majority of her campaign funds from him. Do you think this puppet is ever going to vote against Madigan ?
