Thursday June 7, 2012 Beverly Arts Center 6 to 8 P.M. Please come out and support Matt O'Shea while he has to battle people with less than honorable intentions. Keep in mind that at the end of the day, Matt's only agenda is the betterment of our neighborhood. He has a tough job. For that he deserves our support.
what happened at the ag school? did a janitor have sex with a student?
ReplyDeleteI agree that Matt is a genuine guy. I have seen it first hand. My only problem with him, is that unlike the better days of old, while the national Democrats were giving us moron lefties like Carter, Mondale and Dukakis - the local Dems never even tried to push us traditional Reagan Democrats to vote for these out of touch left wingers. Now Matt, Franny, Tommy Boy, Baloney, Richie Cunningham are ALL kool aid drinking rock solid Obama liberals. Tell your boy to stop pandering to the Socialist in Chief and maybe we will be alot more interested in Matt's career...I was not a huge fan of Ginger, but she at least did not seem to be a card carrying left winger...Wondering when they are gonna realize this...I have stated before...my kids went to the Catholiic schools....they had elections in 2000, 2004 and 2008 and the REpublican won 2 out of 3 !! Tells you what their parents think obviously....Yeah Obama won a CLOSE race in 2008 in the school and in the neighborhood but he is hugely unpopular NOW....just sayin..
ReplyDeleteWho are these people with less than honorable intentions, and what are their intentions?
ReplyDelete"Matt's only agenda is the betterment of our neighborhood. He has a tough job."
ReplyDeleteYea, it's rough taking orders from "uncle skinny" all day.
The Beverly Art Center is way too big to house Matt O'Shea and his machine of like 20 minions who have to buy tickets? Should have had it at McNally's.
ReplyDeleteI take it you've never attended.
DeleteNo but I did attend the Hynes fundraisers at the Martinique where he filled up maybe 500 + people. But that was in the days when all 75 precincts had at least 1 captain.
DeleteBeverly Art Center doesn't hold very many people.
Matt has no real choice in certain matters and it would make no difference who was in that office. At least Matt has kids in the neighborhood and deep roots. I am a Republican and he knows it NOW, but has always been very decent and he has done alot of things behind the scenes for the neighborhood. I honestly hope that he can help keep our neighborhood stable. That is the old worry coming back again. We have to keep on him to get the 22nd Dist cops out doing their jobs and protecting us. If people feel that the police are going to really do their jobs then they will feel safe enough to want to stick around. Otherwise it could become just another neighborhood where the whites flee due to crime and once the balance tips, you have no choice but to leave. I hope it does not come to this. The problem is their liberal attitutdes sometimes prevent them from seeing the truth.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about?
ReplyDeletedump matt
ReplyDeleteBeverly is now know as Hyde Park West with out the University of Chicago, but we do have the president of Chicago State living in Beverly. Sad
ReplyDeleteStill wondering who the guys are with less than honorable intentions and what their intentions are?
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting to me too!
DeleteMust be Madiganites
DeleteHey, what's up with Francanello's? What about the empty Borders? Why is there a guy selling streetwise at Walgreens? How about getting behind school vouchers? When are the streets gonna get repaved? I need my sidewalks fixed. Who is this Matt Oshea guy anyway?
ReplyDeleteThe answer to your question is the ECONOMY you idiot!!!!
DeleteThey need a SSA at 95th street to fix up the Borders.
DeleteI really like Matt O'Shea but I have to wonder where is he getting his advice? This SSA thing is just plain stupid. We need to cut taxes not increase them.
DeleteYou live in a neighborhood full of police and fireman, and your saying the cops don't do there job? You talk about people sticking around, but you're the type that'll be the first to go. Matt, you want me to pop for a ticket to your party? Stand up for us when you see tiny dancer and you'll get all the support you need. Otherwise, party's over, start packing like your pal in DC will be come November.
ReplyDeleteBeen here my whole life so if i was if i was the type to be the first to go it would have been in the 70's. Read the WHOLE post. And yes I believe that the 22nd Dist cops are the laziest in the city. Also, I believe they are specifically told NOT to pursue alot of the more minor crimes like stolen bikes etc...they are told to keep the numbers down so the neighborhood crime numbers look better. Yes there are alot of cops in the neighborhood and in fact THEY seem to do more actual police work than those actually assigned to our area.
DeleteYou forgot that the Walgreens was built with a Streetwise franchise built on its property like yuppie places have a Subway or a Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteWhen is Tiny Dancer going to re-mark all the speedbumps in the city? Nothing beats the shit out of your car like those speedbumps even if you don't speed.
Matts party was nice but they ran out of beer. Why does he keep inviting the old horses to the party. They do nothing for his image.
ReplyDeletebeer and wine, no hard drinks. what tf is that.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard from Matt on reducing pensions. Has anyone?
ReplyDeleteA 19th ward pol who may be caught up in pension problems, failed to show at the 19th ward ball.
ReplyDeletei was wondering why the arts center was selling knee pads, this explains it.
ReplyDeleteCould this be Baloney ??
ReplyDeleteBall? It's not a ball. How do you define ball?
ReplyDeletehey matt choose your side, either stand with the city worker, or stand with the others. But standing idle does you nothing. This is why i didnt vote for you! We all knew what was coming down the pike (pensions) So matt stand up like you got a pair, OR GOOD BYE.
ReplyDeleteMe thinks it's GOODBYE
