Attention parade-goers. This is a family parade and don't you forget it.

We the residents of the 19th ward are happy the parade is back. Not wanting to ever lose it again, there have been some rules made which are going to be enforced.

No drinking in the public way.
No urination in the public way.
No fighting.

If you break these rules, you will be arrested and transported to either Belmont/Western or Jefferson Park for processing. Each block will be patrolled by off duty CPD.

Local residents with parties are urged to control their guest.

Thank you for celebrating our heritage.

Other successful neighborhood pride family friendly events took place over the weekend at the Beverly Art Center and at Bourbon Street. Johnny O's St. Baldricks boxing event was really good. Just like the Parade no problems and no O'Shea.

O'Shea did cause the problems with the parade. Who the eff is Johnny O? Never heard of him.

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
