G-8 Good or Bad?

What do you think about the G-8 summit? Is it good for Chicago to host such an event? What about the possible disruption of daily life? What about the financial cost to Chicago.

    Here are a few numbers you can grind and decide if having the G8 NATO meetings in Chicago is a good idea;
    1. In 2010 Toronto spent $1 Billion on security for the G8/G20 summit held there. Rahm is going to do it on $60 Million.
    2. Occupy Wall St. has put out the call for 50k protesters to come to Chicago. A separate global protest expects to get another 30k from around the world to show.
    Losses to retail stores shut down do to this event will be in the millions. Financial firms and exchanges are being targeted for violent protests. Imagine what the costs from damages and cleanup will be. And who is going to pay for it??? Donors??? Right.
    Check out this video from 2010 G8/G20 in 2010;

    This will be weeks long party for these protesters.

    If the city is worked up about security at the SS Irish parade, somehow I don't think the G8 will go well.

    Probably worried that OWS crowd and anarchists will practice on SSI.
    Cancel G8 now.

    G-8 is a nightmare and whoever gave this the O.K. should be burned at the stake.
