Thanks for pointing this out. I personally have not been to Koda since the recession has hurt my business. In addition to Koda we should all try to give our dollars to local businesses whenever possible. I have gone out of my way to order from Chuck's Pizza that was closed temporarily due to a fire. I will try to get to Koda as well. We do have some fine places run by local residents that deserve our business. By the way does anyone have any info on Franconellas ? Are they in fact planning on reopening- I have seen no work there for awhile. Hopefully they will...

I like both Koda and Chucks. Chucks has the best eggplant.

The theme of this blog has changed. We are now headed into a period of extreme political and economic troubles. We want to increase everyone's awareness and show them how to weather the storm. We are going to begin including articles and videos on prepping (food, water, shelter, medicine, self-defense,) basic economics and general SHTF lifestyle changes.

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
