Please support the Beverly Arts Center

At the corner of 111 and Western Ave.
This wonderful group offers classes, entertainment and a little bit of culture to our neighborhood. Times are hard for everyone and I would venture to say it's a little bit harder for them.

Winter classes begin on Jan 8 and yours truly will be there too. Check them out at http://beverlyartcenter.org/ .

  2. Ginger was the moving force behind that building. Without her we wouldn't have it.

Great idea. This is another treasure we have in the 19th Ward. Many other communities have nothing like this. It shows that the vast majority of us are not just drunken hedonists as the parade showed the rest of Chicagoland. While we're at it - shop local this year for Christmas. We have alot of local businesses that our support could make all the difference in whether they stay in business. I for one have seen enough of the Obama economy Board ups in our neighborhood. Plus - buy gift certificates for services. Better to give to the local business community - our neighbors - then to buy more chinese made junk and send the profits back to mainland China!
