Home Run Inn

Opening soon. 109th and Western. A big recognition to the efforts of Ald. O'Shea. Without him, this wouldn't have happened.

      The neighborhood must support this.

I hope the community supports HRI as they break into a very competitive pizza market. The president and his bros (Costello) are born and raised southsiders (Bro. Rice grads all).

I will support the restaurant . We need to. At our house we rotate our pizza purchases. We are fortunate to,have several establishments that offer excellent pizza.

Exactly. We do too. Even compared with up north. We have the best pizza here. I also think that we have the best burritos as well, but I am trying to cut back on those. Ha, ha ha.

I really am sick of people who post here and trash the neighborhood. Almost my entire life I have been asked by countless people from various neighborhoods and suburbs "Oh youre from Beverly? Isn't it turning black ?" They say this with an air of superiority although many of the black people who live in our community probably make twice as much money and are far more educated than they are. I remember a conversation with a guy from Oak Lawn who thought Beverly was going downhill. This was based on the fact that he had once lived in Blue Island, and that area was getting bad. He persisted in implying that Oak Lawn was much better than Beverly. I asked him one question. How many trailer parks are in Oak Lawn, and how many trailer parks are in Beverly? No offense to Oak Lawn. I like the town and think they have done a great job there.

People like that add nothing to the dialogue. Kinda reminds me of my brother who lives up north and is always making snide remarks about Beverly. Yet he lives less than a mile away from a housing project! They dont seem to notice the thugs and weirdos up there. Was waiting for my bro on Belmont and Damen on afternoon when I saw this freaky young white guy walking down the street listening to a walkman, singing out loud, wearing stone washed jeans with one side of the pant legs cut off into shorts. The other was a full length leg. That guy would have been watched and escorted out of our neighborhood.

Can't make a comment without everybody crying? Murph. It was my opinion it was not intended to bother anyone. Just a comment about the pizza parlor. Kind of like Dave and busters in orland, chucky cheese in oak lawn. Just a beware thing.

    7. There's no place I'd rather live than here, unless it's Ireland. Kudos to O'Shea.

We absolutely have the best pizza in the world. I always make it an effort when I am abroad to sample the pizza. I have never had better pizza in any other country or state.

You can count on my to provide support, but I have to tell you I have a few preferred places.
