Real estate people

Why is it that these real estate people want to put their pictures up all over the neighborhood. Do they really think that the survivors of 87th and Ashland and beyond, want to see their ugly mugs peddling houses? Bus stops, front lawns, the sides of buildings, enough. Have some class and stop it.

    I agree. This is the 21st Century. Get with the times. Also, what about the informal agreement in Beverly NOT to put For Sale signs out ? We should all get the telephone numbers of these Agents, ( most of whom are not local) and explain to them not to put their signs up. Also tell the homeowners. I did that once and was surprised at the result. The homeowner selling was not familiar with our gentleman's agreement NOT to put up a sign. She took hers down, and magically it still sold!

    The best argument is that SIGNS do not sell houses, and that signs can invite alot of unqualified buyers to be nosy and waste your time. There are so many ways to find homes on the market in our Ward. Signs have unintended effects and send unintended messages. That is why they were banned here for a long time. Tell your neighbor that you are sorry they are moving, but you want the neighborhood they are leaving behind to remain a strong one.

    It is ironic, actually comical, to me that some of you simultaneously complain about realtor signs but encourage others to ("donate") for a Romney/Ryan.


    Honestly, some of you really . . . crack me up. ;D And I appreciate THAT!

    I want to move because of all the crooked politicians in this city , county , & state. I WILL advertise my house the best way I can to sell & move on while I am still able to get and give a good deal.(and that the rates are so low).So please, don't get the wrong idea, just let me sell in peace.

    We really don't want to see all these signs, all the garbage, the pothole filled streets and alleys, or hear the barking dogs, or deal with all the drunks driving around the local bars every weekend. The Democrat Party is great for taking complaints, but nothing EVER gets seriously done about legitimate Taxpayer concerns. Incompetence and Corruption Rule the Day, in Chicago-Crook county, Illinois, Land of the incompetent yet Ultra-Corrupt.
