The mayor is unaware that slavery has nothing to do with the the cause of poverty in the black communities. He does not realize that he is contributing to black poverty by giving millions to illegal aliens and placing them in numerous jobs while blacks are unemployed.
The Jews were slaves and now they are very rich and own cruise lines, hospitals, private schools, major businesses, and the list goes on. The Irish were slaves, and they are doing well. The Russians were slaves and had a successful revolution. The Italians were extremely poor and suffered. Blacks were freed in 1865 and have done a great job of getting self educated and obtaining wealth with business ownership, hard work, public service, many professional degrees, and so on. Please stop the disrespect and segregation. Provide equal services for all citizens of America. Get rid of the slums by rebuilding needed communities with funds you are giving to illegal aliens.
It is an insult to offer handouts to a group of black people in blighted communities while giving billions to illegal aliens who are citizens of a foreign country to allow them to send money to their homeland to increase their wealth. Stop the madness.
I believe the Emancipation Proclamation went into law Jan. 1, 1863. A law that freed the slaves, not well received or enforced but a start. Kind of disproves the theory that the war was about slavery as it was still legal in 1860.
America has a 37 trillion dollar debt and the leader of the Chicago teachers union is talking about borrowing funds for paying teachers, yet the mayor is promising to give money for reparations because of slavery. Where is the money coming from? Are the illegal aliens going to return the billions he donated to them? Perhaps the leaders of the countries that the illegal aliens left because they were undesirable will reimburse American citizens.
