Food science should be taught in all schools. I lowered my blood pressure with adding tomatoes to my daily home made chicken vegetable soups. Onions provide great medicine. Too many servings of green vegetables causes thick blood and clots. Certain kinds of cinnamon is a blood thinner. Garlic is medicine that lowers blood pressure and thins blood. There are numerous foods that are great medicines. Teach the students!
Schools don’t teach nutrition education and food science because knowledgeable people don’t spend their money overeating unnecessary junk foods that are sold to increase profits. Over eating certain foods causes serious health problems. Eating too much protein causes kidney problems. Decimal point 36 times your body weight equals the number of grams of protein foods to eat per day to prevent kidney problems.
The human body needs fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and dairy each day along with adequate water. If you learn how much you should eat each day, you would be surprised to learn that you could eat very healthy by spending a few dollars per week on food. That’s why nutrition should be taught in schools because people are eating too much processed junk that harms the body. Too many People are eating like pigs.
People are encouraged to eat excessive amounts of sweets, processed foods, excess salty snacks, sweet caffeinated drinks, alcohol, and to eat for entertainment, for holidays, and to eat like pigs and ruin their health because doctors and hospitals need sick people in order to get rich.
If all people were knowledgeable about how to eat for good health, the medical system would go out of business. Health insurance companies would not exist. Drug companies would go out of business, and the people would have more money in their pockets. Medicare and Medicaid would have a billion dollar surplus because of having a society of healthy people.
Foreigners arriving in America for a better life who have a life expectancy of ages 60s will have a lower life expectancy after eating America’s food, according to research completed by medical graduates. The cause of the lower life expectancy resulted from living in poor American neighborhoods and eating the foods provided in those neighborhoods such as processed foods, excess sweets, excess salt, caffeinated sweet beverages, alcohol, etc. Added health problems results from malnutrition caused by their inability to read and understand food labels, inadequate income to receive nutrition and dietary counseling to prevent health problems such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, excess stress, mental illness, high and low blood pressure, and so on.
It requires higher income, medical literacy plus nutrition education to increase life expectancy in America.
