"compromised" or just old fashioned "for sale" ?

Dan Proft • 2ndTed Cruz has it about right. We're only going to let in 6 million as compared to Biden's 10 million, Vote Republican, isn't a terribly compelling message.
Beltway Republicans have a tendency of rescuing the Left from the messes they manufacture by slowing the pace of the catastrophe without changing the direction or destination.
Upon his retirement announcement in 1992, Malcolm Wallop, former U.S. Senator from Wyoming, observed the same saying, the problem with the Republican Party is that if the Democrats introduced a bill to burn down the Capitol, Republicans would compromise and agree to phase it in over three years.
That was before the Gingrich revolution in 1994 in the days when the GOP caucuses were led by the Two Bobs--Dole and Michel.
Surrender on border security today by Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Bob Dole 2.0, which is what he is busily negotiating, may be just what the GOP backbenchers need to stage a successful, Gingrich-style revolution in the Senate in '24.
And that's where Trump should come in to assist by directing the application of migrant pressure to its most sensitive point: surrender Republicans.
Governors Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis are to be credited for nationalizing the border--making every state a border state, as it's said. It exposed the rank hypocrisy and general silliness of wealthy "no person is illegal" suburban Ozempic addicts. The signs from their yards have been pulled and their lips have been buttoned.
However, humiliation alone will not result in the mass migration of Marxist marionettes to the GOP.
None of the open borders mayors or governors are reversing their positions on sanctuary designations. They're doing what the Vicars of victimization do, blame-shifting. Cities need more money from the states. States need more money from the feds. The feds need to print more money for order processors at the border to get them in and on the yellow brick road to citizenship.
The migrant arrivals can speed the disintegration of America's big cities but there are no brains in the heads of big city mayors and most of their constituents to process what's happening. They have only recorded political cant in the space once occupied by their minds.
I don't believe the same can be said of the residents of Lexington or Tulsa. I also don't think the same can be said of Sens. McConnell and Lankford.
Therefore, Trump should call on the Texas governor to temporarily redirect the buses away from Chicago and New York City and drop off migrants, who agree to go, in the districts and states and at the fronts of the district offices and homes of Republican House and Senate members who are willing to phase-in the torching of America over three years.

I think a better adjective would be UNPRINCIPLED. Likely a hundred more could easily come to mind...none of which would be flattering...but would be accurate.
