I speak the language most common to an entire continent, 50 states and all but one of the Canadian provinces and territories. My understanding of Spanish and Mexicans understanding of english makes it possible for us to be understood.
I can drive 3000 miles using possibly the best large hwy system in the world, spending the same currency and speaking the same language. Europeans need to understand their neighbors but I understand my neighbors way better.
I saw the title and I immediate knew it was the government monopoly school system as the answer.
