Burglars drilled through the wall of a vacant building in Lincoln Park to reach the vault of a bank next door, according to the FBI.

The agency did not say how much money the burglars robbed from the Bank of America at 2163 N. Clybourn Ave. early Sunday.

The burglary occurred sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. The FBI said it was looking for two to four males, one them wearing distinctive blue shoes. They fled in a small silver SUV and a black sedan.

No one was reported in custody. Anyone with information can call (312) 421-6700 or contact tips.fbi.gov.

So this group had technical knowledge to bypass alarms and open a TL-30 rated safe and possibly bypassed the inside cameras??? The outside street pics are from another businesses CCTV but not bypassed?

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
