DELPHI, Ind. - Indiana State Police announced murder charges Monday morning in the 2017 slaying of two young girls in Delphi, Indiana.
Richard Allen, 50, of Delphi, has been charged with two counts of murder in the killings of Liberty "Libby" German and Abigail "Abby" Williams, police said.
Allen was arrested Friday after police secured a warrant for probable cause. Charging information and the probable cause has been sealed by the court as the investigation is "active and ongoing," police said.
Allen has entered a not guilty plea and is scheduled for a preliminary trial on Jan. 13, 2023, according to police.
