Old man Daley was an old school real Democrat. The Democratic label was hijacked by the Marxist/Socialist. The Democratic party is anything but Democratic. We can thank the Chicago machine for selling out to these American hating racists. I hold every Democrat in office today accountable for where we are in society. If the real old school true Democrats would have spoke out and protested the "Defund the Police" and villinazing of police officers we wouldn't be living in a third world city. We were at one time a world class city only to be hijacked by insane and race baiting policies. Can you imagine Daley saying he would only do interviews with white reporters? Can you imagine Daley implementing the no chase policies? Can you imagine Daley turning his back on law and order? Yeah, me neither! I not only blame Lightfoot, Fox, Evans, and Dart, I blame all of the Alderman who should have stood strong for their constituents. We know how politics works in the city, speak out against the mayor and lose the nice perks you have. There comes a time in ones life where you have to answer your conscience and make the right decisions for the citizens of this city regardless of consequences. However we know and see the greed that has manufactured the family and friends program via politicians. Quietly the old Irish regime holds on to the little scraps they get from city hall, via contracts and jobs. These old politicians hold onto that little bit of power that will soon be gone. They live lavish lifestyles with second homes and big bank accounts waiting for their hour glass to expire, knowing they too are the minority old shot callers that will join the dinosaurs in exile. As a lifetime Chicagoan who was once proud to tell people where I was from when asked, I now am ashamed. Will we ever regain the city of old, I would say absolutely not. I can only hope that when the time comes and the people who sold out and were quiet for the sake of their own GREED have to answer to God. Heres to the old days, 🍺. Here's to hoping in Karma for ALL the greedy politicians 🍺.
The city wouldn't have the problems today if old man Daley was running it. Too bad his son didn't learn more from him.

Old man Daley was good, Harold Washington and Jane Bryne werent bad then it went downhill fast after that and I dont think it will ever recover
