I'm starting to think that Jill Biden's Phd is just more political malarkey. She was awarded the degree in January 2007 from the University of Delaware. This is the same University of Delaware that houses the Biden Institute for Public Policy. Am I correct to presume that the education department at U of D is subject to the very same political influence that caused the U of D to establish the Biden Institute.
At some time in the past, Jill Biden took a MA from the very prestigious Villanova. I have to ask why didn't she pursue the Phd at Villanova? I mean the program is well established and she knew everyone there already. Why didn't she pursue the Phd at the
even more prestigious U of PA which is right down the road from Villanova and also has a nationally known education department. That, combined with the known fact that the vast majority of doctorates earned by teachers are nothing more that salary enhancers; leads me to conclude that Jill Biden is guilty of engaging in a practice which at best is "the appearance of impropriety".I think her Phd is not a real degree. It's more like a Notary Public certificate that you hang on a wall or a souvenir cup from a White Sox game. It's boisterous at best and is definitely an insult to those that have legit Phd's. She should surrender the Phd and just go by her normal name.
glory hound needs an ego boost. i get a kick out of these people that put half of the alphabet after their name(phd,ma,ms,bsn,rn,...) when sending an email and they don't have an ounce of common sense.

ReplyDeleteChris Plante on WLS-AM calls Mrs. Biden, "Non-Physician Doctor Jill Biden."
ReplyDeletePlante is hilarious. He's on from 9-11 AM.
That "dissertation" is available on line. Remember when you were a freshman in high school and the teacher told you they wanted a term paper, and it had to be at least 15 pages long, and you triple spaced everything and wanted to know if the table of contents counted as one of the pages......you get the idea.
