The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care.
Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.

It seems more statues of important historical figures were toppled by "protesters" in Portland last night.
ReplyDeleteItalian is an ethnicity, not a race. Italians, including Sicilians, are considered White. ಠ_ಠ
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Italian Americans don't have much clout in Cook County politics anymore. ಠ_ಠ
ReplyDeleteCurrent Italian American Politicians:
Illinois State Representatives:
John D'Amico, Bob Rita
Cook County:
Commissioner Peter Silvestri (R),
Board of Review Michael Cabonargi
Chicago Alderpeople:
Daniel LaSpata (1),
Nicholas Sposato (38),
Anthony Napolitano (41)
Mayors of Berkeley, Berwyn, Cicero, Elmwood Park, Highwood, Melrose Park, Stone Park
Most of these towns are predominately Mexican now.
If Italian Americans want their statues back, start winning some major offices. ಠ_ʖಠ
Oops, there's State Representative Anthony DeLuca too. ಠ ೧ ಠ
