Midway Airport is for sale?

is this the looting of the city which has been long rumored?

the aldermen have a duty to stop it not it and not like they did with the parking meters and Skyway

From Second City Coppers

 We're hearing this one, too:

  • Ssshhhh, Midway is unofficially for sale and the number one candidate to purchase it is Jeff Bezos at a now dramatically cut rate price. Super secret 5th Floor Fire Sale, selling the assets is the first step to Chapter 9. Expect things to happen quickly and shady as is the

    Chicago way.

I hope I didn’t just out a family member, but it’s been a hush hush topic and will happen before we have serious contract talks. She’s going to bleed the city of its assets, use that to further fund development on South and Westside, cry poor, raise the property taxes and of course blame the greedy police.

Her main goal is a dramatically downsized police department and the further push for no pay raise yet blame us for all the financial issues. She is fixated, to the frustration of her staff, of CPD forced pay cuts out of her hatred of J-Cat.

She wants a dramatically smaller department? Offer some sort of buy out plan those people maxed out, but not of age. You'd cut a shitload of high salaries in short order.

As for selling Midway, at least try to get a good price, not like Shortshanks selling the parking meters for a song and burning through the billion dollars inside of a few years.

If this is true, it won't be long for Chicago to survive. Richard M. Daley started it with selling the skyway and the parking meters. The slippery slope will get quicker.

Southwest won't acquire enough gates at O'Hare to leave Midway. Gate availability at O'Hare will probably be in the L concourse and only board for a couple locations. But O'Hare would allow them to use larger aircraft which makes international flights for them a bigger possibility.
