Not sure of the states laws but in most states you have to be the party nominee from the national convention. I think that's why they have no choice but to keep Joe on the ballot. Having someone else join in now would likely mean no candidate on the state ballot, emergency court orders violating or striking down state laws on elections, and making it harder for them to cheat by not having the correct ballots ready to go.
Hi Brian. Sure Biden is kept on the ballot, no matter what happens. If Biden resigns or dies, before November 3, does Harris become the presidential nominee? Right now, this seems true, but who knows. (☉。☉)!
