I heard O'Shea on the radio yesterday. He had some valid complaints about mail delivery in the 19th Ward. He was on about delivery as late as 9 p.m. or no delivery at all for several days, rude employees, the post office being closed for lunch, on and on. He seems to think more funding will help correct the problem. With that I may disagree.
The problem we are witnessing in 60655 is being repeated nationwide. It's being caused by an intentional work slowdown on the part of postal employees and some low level management in
cahoots with the democratic party. It's all designed to embarrass Trump just in time for the election.
The solution to this problem is the same as it should be for any government agency being sabotaged by its employees. This problem is unique in that the affected government agency has been rendered obsolete by technology and private competitors. For years, the postal service has been propped up by taxpayers in some sort of welfare project, all dressed up to look legit. It's time to call the game on the project and fire them all. It's time to shut down the postal service. We don't need it.
That service has been going on for years, even in 60408,60402. I always knew when the regular carrier was off. Either no mail, or just junk for all the time he was off, When he'd return the box was stuffed with the important stuff.
ReplyDeleteThere is a network of neighbosr who watch every day and the regular was off 2 weeks ago. One week the mail only made it to be delivered 2 timse Tuesday and Tursday.
DeleteI went to grammer school with Matt, he's a ok guy, likes to hear himself talk.
ReplyDeleteTypical Democrat. Throw more money at the problem only to have the problem grow larger. I might get mail 3 days a week, and not my own.
