UPDATE: Mass shooting in 19th Ward of Chicago....UNSOLVED MURDER

Home of the greatest pancakes in the world

It seems that altercation arose because of a misunderstanding about the sale of some rims. I thought it was something more serious. So this news makes me feel better.

Lumes Pancake House 116th and Western Ave. 6 shot 1 dead. More info as it comes in.

Suspect used an AK-47

4 gunmen got away in a white SUV with Illinois plates, driving north on Western Ave.

The victims and the gunmen were black and they weren't wearing their Covid mask. That is all that's known.

Witnesses report that the deceased was eating pancakes and didn't know what hit him. Lumes is known for the best pancakes in the world. The other victims were eating waffles and that's probably what saved their lives.

The quiet of a peaceful neighborhood broken by criminals without any fear of prosecution. Thank you Kim Foxx.

Is the connection between this shooting and the shooting at the police station?

I guess it's come to the 19th Ward, guess somebody thought it never would. Keep sending bills to assist CPD to the rules committee. I believe the National Guard and CPD already have an open dialogue, but someone gave that BS excuse to do Mayor Beetlejuices bidding. Aviation Chairmanship is more important than the 2 CPD lives that were shot last night and what could have been a massacre at Lumes, but hey keep voting for the Establishment.

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
