The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care. Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.
Is St. Barnabas the only church closed?
ReplyDeleteMisleading. St. Barnabas had 2 masses this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Those interested are required to register for mass during the week, usually starting Tuesday, and capacity is limited. Masks must be worn and additional COVID precautions are in place.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing misleading except you. Two masses? Where you have to know someone to get a ticket? That is not what I call trying hard to spread the word of God. Why aren't there five masses on a Sunday?
DeleteNot many churches, of any denomination, have 5 masses or services. ಠಿ_ಠಿ
DeleteTwo masses, yes. It’s a slow process back. I’m a member of the parish. Attend 8am mass every Sunday. Have watched the weekly masses on video stream since the lockdown. Don’t be an alarmist. There is no conspiracy. The Word of God is alive in your daily actions and thoughts. The Church is a living thing.
DeleteThe same people who complain about the church are The ones who only show up on Christmas and Easter. They’re also the same ones who send their kids to public school rather than make the sacrifice and support the parish school.
DeleteNot true, we also show up for weddings and funerals

ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church is unavailable. Just like the Cardinal. This is very troubling.
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church is more than just a building or the hierarchy that runs it. YOU are the church. What have you done in Christ’s name???
DeleteSt. Mary Star of the Sea had mass in the parking lot this evening. Where there is a will there is a way.
ReplyDeleteIt's really just about the Eucharist. I don't know about conspiracies or a slow process, but I do know about lighting a fire under someones ass when it needs to be done.
ReplyDeleteThat is right!! And as others said where there is a will, there is a way...and it is not the people complaining who DON'T go to Mass...that is illogical...why would they be complaining about something they dont care about? I am one of those complaining and I have tried and succeeded in going to church elsewhere! Once again tone deaf liberal organizations continue to persist in their idiocy while the people continue to vote with their feet
DeleteMany churches exist. Many Catholic churches still exist in Chicagoland. (@_@)
