The leftists in many state governments are actively attempting to wreck the economy in the hopes of removing the current Administration in DC. This is what Virginia had in place, but it's basically the same across the country:
- Moving downward: percentage of positive tests over 14 days
- Moving downward: hospitalizations over 14 days
- Enough hospital beds and intensive care capacity
- Increasing and sustainable supply of PPE
Most states have reached three of these four goals. So of course, that means they can reopen. Even Illinois downsized the McCormick Place Field Hospital from 3,000 beds to 2,000 to 1,000 beds, with under 100 being utilized this past week.
Then dems across the country started demanding a massive medical stockpile to be in place to treat everyone before reopening. Except you don't store medicines until you have them....doctors administer them when needed, so it's almost impossible to meet this condition seeing as how the stockpile (and the need) are constantly fluctuating.
Then they said the country needed adequate ventilators. The announcement from Washington is that there are ten-thousand ventilators available for immediate distribution with hundreds more being made each day. New York City is now offering excess ventilators to smaller out-of-state hospitals.
The latest crap coming out of democrats is that we have to wait until there is a vaccine available so we can send our kids back to school safely. Question: How is that HIV vaccine working out for everyone? Has Boystown been shut down until there's a vaccine? That would be since....1983. So a mere 37 years ago? We can hold out that long, right?
In the history of the world, there have been only two viral diseases eradicated by a vaccine - smallpox and rinderpest. Each took decades to develop and administer. This is yet another impossible metric being set by the left to attain a political end they can't meet otherwise.
Add to that a certain mayor getting a haircut, a certain governor's family jetting off to Florida, entire legislative bodies hiding and failing to carry out the duties they were elected to do, relying on haphazard "science." It's enough to spark statewide protests and lawsuits, not to mention widespread civil disobedience.

Yep, tacking 15 and 30 days onto the shutdown, especially in states with Democratic governors avoids several issues for the democrats, all of which leads towards the November election. Driving the economy into the ground offsets the gains Trump has made with unemployment. It also diverts attention away from the investigations of the Russia hoax, the misdeeds of the FBI and CIA in illegal warrants obtained from FISA courts. It takes the country's attention away from Schiff, Pelosi and Schumer where they can continue to lob criticism about the response to the pandemic. It also diverts attention away from Biden's deteriorating mental condition and allows them to finalize strategy to replace him. The best we can hope for is that middle class Americans recognize the slight of hand attempts by the Democratic party to circulate fiction, factionalize the middle class with constant themes underscoring race.
ReplyDeleteIts a constant barrage of "do what I say, not what I do". Trump has acceded to every request from states to address this virus. The work of the Army Corp of Engineers to erect mobile hospitals in New York, Chicago, and California, creating thousands of extra beds for Covid patients, the two Navy hospital ships deployed, the call to provide ventilators to hardest hit states and after all the pissing and moaning about need, and those needs being fulfilled by the federal government, to have the states like New York and Illinois turn around and say, "uh, we don't need them anymore" and then continue to berate the administrations efforts to provide for their requests is duplicitous. I've no words acceptable for the likes of our states government officials. Pritzker is grandstanding with false sincerity; he is without answers to legitimate questions regarding his executive orders. Its hard to imagine someone that wealthy being that dumb. Illinois' handling of this pandemic has been a shit show without direction. Millions unemployed, businesses ruined. lifetime investments lost, many never to be retrieved. Oh yeah Tubby, its all about the science.
