As the city’s epidemic plan shows, prisoners are always the first in line to be sacrificed in times of crisis or plague.
If New York City has a plague year, there’s a plan for its prisoners—not to protect them from infection in their tight quarters, but to use convicts to make New York State branded hand sanitizers and, if it comes to that, prisoners at Rikers to bury the dead.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo Monday, citing concerns about profiteers selling overpriced hand sanitizer, announced that CorCraft, a company that uses New York State prison labor paid between 16¢ and $1.14 an hour, would be making 100,000 gallons a week of NY-branded hand sanitizer.

ReplyDeleteThe elderly across Europe are not in official death figures regarding covid-19. Any over 65 years old are not even being looked at in hospitals, especially in Italy, due to the amount of patients in ICUs...
This is heartbreaking...The death figures in countries must me staggering if they are not including the vulnerable, as they wont be tested...just left to die.

ReplyDeleteso far about 26 people have died in the entire country - (us) - of 327 million people....at least 19 were from the same retirement center and they were elderly....a common cold could have killed them....or common flu, (which has already killed over ten thousand in the US alone ....THIS YEAR AND EVERY YEAR!

Swallwell, Maxine et all, ably assisted by Illinois contingent of liberal dunces, Durbin, Duckworth, Schakowski, Quigley, Davis, Rush and the list goes on and on. So now its Corona virus that tags Trump as the ongoing villain who dems decide to shoulder the responsibility for the disease. It just goes on and on. We have the finger pointing dems and a compliant media that chooses to go along with them. And the fix is in for Biden who now can only be in public for 5-7 minutes at a time, which truly is the cruelest joke the democrats will try to foist on an already suspicious electorate. Matt, sorry, I just cant vote that way anymore. These people representing us in Washington have all the qualities of dogs, minus the loyalty.
