Please keep a stiff upper lip when discussing the current health crisis, your meltdowns and constant criticism of Trump is helping nobody. The people of Illinois are expecting you to lead not bellyache.

The phrase is most commonly heard as part of the idiom "keep a stiff upper lip", and has traditionally been used to describe an attribute of British people in remaining resolute and unemotional when faced with adversity. A sign of weakness is trembling of the upper lip, hence the saying keep a stiff upper lip. When a person's upper lip begins to tremble, it is one of the first signs that the person is scared or shaken by experiencing deep emotion.

ReplyDeleteAmen, we saw that Pritzker can't handle heat when asked about Trumps pardoning of Blajjevich. After he said words to the effect that Blago should sit for the entire sentence, he distanced himself from his appearance on taped conversations with him leveraging for the state treasurer's post. He claimed he's a different person from what he was 10 years ago. Outside of being wider, how is he different? New toilets in his next door mansion on the gold coast? You wouldn't want to catch a beef with this hulking mass of lard. As for Lori Lemur, we saw her vitriol when the FOP rep showed up at the City Council when a hot mic caught her referring to him as a clown, or the put down of a citizen who showed up for a public hearing in the council. She's ill tempered. Neither impresses with creativity, innovation or equal treatment under the law. Pritzker is like a puppy whenever HRC comes calling. He's just a wannabe, without anything but money to buy his way in. Illinois has never been perfect, corruption exist in every corner of the state but the current crop running things haven't done anything but point fingers. Thats not what they were elected for. And finger pointing isn't gonna get them re-elected. Who could endorse the Shrimp and the Blimp?
