I for one am glad they are preparing. I hope it's not too late to accumulate the needed supplies. Hopefully hospital staff will remain healthy enough to care for the serious cases that require hospitalization. The way it stands now, any hospital staff member that cares for an infected individual is placed on quarantine for 14 days. I can forsee running out of available staff members quickly.

If this parade is cancelled it will because she wants to save money being spent on a constituency that doesn't appreciate her. Expect her to axe both parades and her minions will go around screaming corona......

Cancelled can be spelled with one or two lowercase Ls.

Total media induced hysteria. Let me ask all of you a question, where do you believe you are more susceptible to get Corvid 19, at a parade or in a school? Why aren't schools cancelled? Pritzker is a real idiot too, we are all Americans and he just couldn't help himself criticizing the federal government.

  8. You really have to feel sorry for all the people who have expended so much effort here, the float builders, the kids groups that practice so hard for this day etc. The years that this parade was shut down everyone knew it and nothing per se was lost, now all the preparations were a go and now this happened

Good points tony....but I do think for the next month or so we should be extra careful to tamp down on the spread of this virus...not sure if being out in the fresh outdoor air would be a danger though. And really is too bad for all those whose planned for this day in time, money.

    2. Oh you are correct, maybe by getting out in front of this thing, the scare will end sooner. But like a lot of people out there, you can't help but wonder if this is a major over reaction fueled by the media
