He was one in a million. DJ possessed a generosity of spirit and love of life, family and friends. He fought ALS to the very end, enduring several bone marrow extractions and spinal stem cell injections he described as "almost as painful as the 16 hour flights to Korea to get them. Those of us who knew him will always remember his smile and friendship and the twinkle in his eye, whether you were on the golf course or just stopping for a beer. The Korean doctors treating him described him as a tough and brave man for enduring the painful stem cell procedures he hoped would slow the advancement of his ALS. Dan was somebody really special. And if you were lucky enough to know him, you already knew that.
