What Cook County needs is a low-profile, serious and focused state's attorney

frequent visitor at Hollywood fundraising events?

Hmmmm.
Check out this dinner dish with a dash of Smollett sauce.
Pull up a dining chair.
Former Obama White House BFF Valerie Jarrett and communications and political consultant Hilary Rosen are hosting a private D.C. dinner Monday to
honor their close friend Tina Tchen as the new president and CEO of Hollywood’s Time’s UP, an advocacy organization fighting gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.
So?
  • Um, dinner host Tchen, former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama and whose top adviser was Jarrett, is the one who weighed in via phone to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx acting on behalf of the “concerned” family of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.
  • Backshot: Smollett’s incendiary story of racial assault took a dramatic turn when the cops began eyeballing him as the probable puppet master of his own publicity stunt.
  • Buckshot: Foxx then reached out to Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson to inform him of the Smollett family’s concerns and eventually recused herself from the case because of the contact she had via the Smollett family. The case was then turned over to the Feds.
So?
Um, dinner host Rosen was a top press/publicity adviser during the height of the Smollett scandal.
“I have not worked with Jussie since last spring,” Rosen told Sneed on Friday.
“It was short term and there was nothing more for me to do,” she added. “Tina is not involved and has not been involved since beyond that one phone call (to Foxx about Smollett.)
“We are just a bunch of Washington women who know Tina from when she was at the White House; who are involved in women’s equality and sexual harassment issues; and getting together at the private dinner to honor her.
“This is not a fundraiser.”
So?
Is there a whiff of something out of whack here? Former Smollett press adviser Rosen co-hosting a dinner for Tchen, whose involvement in the Smollett case raised heavy eyebrows?
“All roads do not lead to Chicago, Jussie Smollett has nothing to do with friends getting together or with Smollett conspiracy theories,” said Rosen. “It is silly to make that connection.”
Former White House insiders tell Sneed Tchen and Jarrett are not only this/close and chummy on the Tinseltown scene, but they got to know Foxx as a frequent visitor at Hollywood fundraising events.
A phone call to Foxx’s office netted this response: “The state’s attorney will be in Chicago Monday night discussing marijuana legalization at the 47th Ward Democratic Organization. Not sure if she was invited anywhere else.”
Smollett’s Chicago case, which still sparks of outrage in Chicago, is now in the hands of special prosecutor/mega legal eagle Dan K. Webb.
Will Webb discover a few former White House spoons were used to simmer down the boiling Smollett stew?
Stay tuned.

here's a little something to think about regarding the practices of our current George Soros funded Cook County States attorney: from CWB Chicago

Guilty plea from man accused of sexually abusing girls during Lincoln Park burglaries
October 30, 2019 CWBChicago Lincoln Park

The Indianapolis man who prosecutors accused of entering two Lincoln Park homes and sexually abusing two sleeping girls has reached a plea deal.

Hunter Best, 26, pleaded guilty to two counts of residential burglary, but prosecutors agreed to drop the most serious charges he faced.

Judge Erica Reddick sentenced Best to two concurrent eight-year terms. The state will cut his sentence by 50% for good behavior, and he is receiving 604 days credit for time spent in jail while awaiting trial, giving Best an anticipated parole date in early 2022.

Prosecutors dropped 26 other felonies, including four counts of Class X felony home invasion involving a sex offense. The state also dropped 14 burglary counts and four sex-related charges.

Police said Best entered a home in the 400 block of West Belden around 2 a.m. on May 27, 2018, and sexually abused a 13-year-old as she slept. About 20 minutes later, Best allegedly entered a residence two blocks away on the 500 block of West Grant and inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl in her bedroom.

Investigators released surveillance images and video of the offender after the crimes, resulting in Best’s arrest one month later.

CWBChicago reported in August that DNA testing of a cigarette and beer can found in one of the girls’ homes concluded that one out of 6.5 quintillion unrelated people would have the same DNA profile as the one taken from the recovered items. Best is one of those persons, according to prosecutors.

According to a recent filing by Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Innes, the 13-year-old girl woke up when Best entered her bedroom. Best remained in the room for about fifteen minutes, kissing the girl and rubbing her shoulders as the girl pleaded with him to leave, Innes said.

He eventually went to her father’s bedroom, where the man awoke to find Best standing over him, watching him sleep, according to the filing. The father escorted Best out of the house before learning about what had allegedly happened to his daughter.

On the same night, an 11-year-old girl was sleeping at her grandfather’s house on the 500 block of West Grant when she woke up to find a strange man standing above her around 2:20 a.m., the state alleges.

That girl told investigators that the man kissed her on the lips and touched her private areas. The girl’s crying and whimpering awoke her grandfather who saw a silhouette move across the room when he went to check on her.

None of the alleged victims or their relatives knew Best, prosecutors said.

DROPPED 24 FELONY CHARGES INCLUDING 2 CLASS X FELONIES ! REALLY?

She's hardly serious about anything related to her position as a law enforcement official. She is all about minority rights and expungements. She would make a great public defender.
