Get woke, go broke: Sports Illustrated features Muslim model in a burkini and the media tries to ram this down everyone's throat

This is not what guys want to see. So stupid…
From Daily Mail: Halima Aden has made history by becoming the first Muslim model to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue wearing a hijab and a burkini.
The 21-year-old Somali-American was born in a refugee camp in Kenya, and she returned to her birth country for her first shoot with the magazine, which was photographed by Yu Tsai at Watamu Beach.
Sports Illustrated announced on Monday that Halima is the newest member of its 2019 rookie class while sharing some of the model’s photos from her historic spread featured in the upcoming issue, which will be released on May 8.
One image shows her lying on the wet sand wearing a colorful geometric print burkini. In another, she is modeling a red hijab and a custom-made burkini featuring a beaded mock-turtleneck and sleeves.
Halima lived at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya before moving to the United States at the age of seven, and she couldn’t help but reflect on her amazing journey during her shoot.
‘I keep thinking [back] to six-year-old me who, in this same country, was in a refugee camp,’ she told Sports Illustrated.
‘So to grow up to live the American dream [and] to come back to Kenya and shoot for SI in the most beautiful parts of Kenya — I don’t think that’s a story that anybody could make up.’

They are prospering!

Boom: Hispanics lead housing, income surge, poverty at record low, as they don't need government help.

00:00
While they remain far behind whites in income, they have seen their third consecutive year of income growth and have a higher workplace participation rate, according to the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and the Hispanic Wealth Project.
In two studies just released, the groups also provided revealing details about Latinos and their growth in America. For example, by 2060, nearly one of every three in the U.S. will identify as Latin

What’s more, the group’s goal of nudging overall Hispanic income up is showing signs of success. The group said that within the next five years, Hispanic median income will triple.
The group listed the positive trends in its income report:
  • For the fourth consecutive year, Hispanics increased their rate of home ownership, reaching a rate of 47.1%. In 2018, Latinos added 362,000 homeowners which is the highest number of owner households added for Latinos since 2005.
  • In 2017, Hispanics saw the third consecutive year of income growth and the highest of any demographic.
  • Between 2016 and 2017, Hispanics increased their real median income by 3.7%. Latino families making an annual income over $200,000 increased from 2.1% in 2011 to 3.8% in 2017, and the percentage of Latino millionaires more than doubled between 2013 and 2016.
  • Poverty rates reached a historic low for Latinos. Simultaneous to median income growth, Hispanics have lowered their poverty rate for three consecutive years. With a poverty rate of 18.3% in 2017, Hispanics reached their lowest level since poverty estimates for Hispanics were first published by the U.S. Census Bureau in 1972.
  • Latinos have significantly higher labor force participation rates. Hispanics are employed at a rate of 66.1%, compared to 62.9% of the general population. The Hispanic unemployment rate was reduced by over 7 percentage points between 2009 and 2018, from 12.1% to 4.7%, respectively.
  • Latinos continue to drive small business growth. Between 2014 and 2016, the number of Latino-owned employer firms increased by 13.1%, accounting for 23.8% of the net growth of all employer firms during that period.
  • Participation in retirement accounts for Latinos is increasing. Between 2013 and 2016, Hispanics increased their rate of retirement account ownership from 25.1% to 29.7%, and the value of their retirement accounts increased by roughly 40.4%.
They are proving to be America's salvation.

has she no shame? with an editorial like this hitting on would think she would just quietly resign.
the contentions are true, she is a disaster for the office and the people of cook county.

This is one of the best take-downs of Crimesha's disastrous tenure in office:
The Cook County state’s attorney’s office is a mess. In fact, it is the very mess that voters might have anticipated in 2016 when then-candidate Kim Foxx’s credentials and ethics were challenged.

During the campaign, she inflated her felony trial experience and sidestepped questions about her once-lapsed law license. And since taking office she has not cited conflicts of interest in large personal injury cases brought against the county by the same law firm that paid her consulting fees and whose partners contributed tens of thousands of dollars to her campaign.

Up to now, the issue of her credentials has been largely dismissed in the face of her rising celebrity. Today, however, it is clear that a discussion of Foxx’s qualifications was important. Her inexperience, poor judgment and misaligned sense of ethics — not her race — have led to the state of mistrust we endure today.

The core problem is that the state’s attorney’s office is being managed — or mismanaged — by a politician who touts reform but lacks the competence and professional legal judgment to manage a highly complex prosecutor’s office. More alarming, it appears she is unable to balance the scales of justice to ensure that the system serves the community at large.
Go read the entire editorial from a former ASA. The election of Foxxx served to illustrate one thing above all others:
the complete abdication of media's responsibility to keep voters informed
That is probably what is driving part of the media's anti-Toni/Crimesha narratives of late. The media chose a side, not unlike what they did at the national level, and lost sight of what made them valuable to the voters/consumers. The dead-tree media is shriveling up and the electronic media is so beholden to corporate interests, they've forgotten how to actually investigate incompetence on the part of politicians, directly affecting the Rise of the Blogs (witness CWB for starters). And the Burke indictment (along with numerous aldercreatures), coming so close to an election, really brought the simmering voter disgust with the process to a boil.

More time? This investigation could be 10 or 20 times bigger than anyone thought!

Feds ask for more time to indict Ald. Edward Burke in corruption case as they build cases against others

Federal prosecutors want more time to seek an indictment against Ald. Ed Burke (14th) in the corruption case that earlier this year rocked City Hall in the middle of campaign season.

Facing a May 3 deadline to seek what is generally expected to be a wider indictment from a grand jury against Burke, prosecutors asked a judge Thursday for 35 additional days. If the judge grants their request, their new deadline would be June 7.

That means the indictment likely wouldn’t arrive until five months after Burke was first charged with

Ald. Patrick Daley Thompson under scrutiny in probe of failed Bridgeport bank

An $80,000 loan that Ald. Patrick Daley Thompson got for work on the 11th Ward Regular Democratic Party Organization's headquarters after it was cited for violations of the city code is now part of a broadening federal probe of failed Washington Federal Bank for Savings that also includes the Bridgeport bank president's hanging 12 days before the bank was ordered closed in 2017. | Rich Hein / Sun-Times

By Tim Novak and Robert Herguth

Two years ago, city of Chicago inspectors showed up at the Daley family’s longtime political headquarters, a stout brick structure in Bridgeport that houses offices for Cook County Commissioner John P. Daley, his nephew Ald. Patrick Daley Thompson and the 11th Ward Regular Democratic Organization they control.

Spurred by a neighbor’s complaint about loose bricks, the inspectors discovered code violations at the building at 3659 S. Halsted St. that required costly repairs including exterior brickwork, new drywall and the removal of plumbing fixtures and wiring, city records show.

To pay for that, Thompson turned to a neighborhood bank, Washington Federal Bank for Savings. He

A Catholic university in Maryland, Mount St. Mary’s University, actually has invited pro-abort Mark Shriver from the Kennedy clan with deceptive Kennedyish good-looks to be its commencement speaker.
Below is a message from TFP Student Action:
Pro-life students are bewildered.
Because Mount St. Mary’s University — a Catholic institution in Emmitsburg, Maryland — has picked notorious pro-abortion promoter Mark Shriver as its commencement speaker on May 11, 2019.
But this is why Mr. Shriver is NOT a role model for students:
  • NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland gave Mark Shriver a 100% approval rating for his pro-abortion record when he served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates.
  • In an interview with The Washington Post, Mr. Shiver said: “… I will continue to fight for a women’s right to choose [abortion] …”
  • Mr. Shriver is the CEO of Save the Children, a pro-contraception organization with ties to Planned Parenthood.
However, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has stated that the “Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”

$220,000 For Every Man, Woman And Child - America Is Now 72 Trillion Dollars In Debt

Are you ready to cough up $220,000 to pay your 'fair share'?
One of the reasons why a day of reckoning for the U.S. economy is inevitable is because we are in way too much debt.

The 22 trillion dollar debt that the federal government has accumulated gets most of the attention, but the truth is that we would still be 50 trillion dollars in debt even if the national debt was eliminated somehow.  Today, debt levels are exploding on every level of society.  Corporate debt has more than doubled since the last financial crisis, U.S. consumers are more than 13 trillion dollars in debt, and state and local governments are piling up debt as if tomorrow will never come.  According to a Federal Reserve chart that you can find right here, the total amount of debt in the U.S. financial system has now reached an astounding 72 trillion dollars.
My father was a math teacher for many years, and so I like numbers.
I divided $72,000,000,000,000 by the current population of the United States (Google says it is 327.2 million), and I discovered that it breaks down to more than $220,000 for every man, woman and child in the entire country.

So if you have a family of four, your share of all this debt is $880,000.
This debt bubble has been growing much, much faster than the overall economy for a very long time.  When Ronald Reagan took office the total amount of debt in our system was less than 5 trillion dollars, and when George W. Bush took office the total amount of debt in our system was just over 29 trillion dollars.
Just prior to the last financial crisis we surpassed the 54 trillion dollar mark, and so since that time we have added nearly 18 trillion dollars to our total.
Of course all of this debt will never actually be paid off.  The only thing left to do is to keep this debt bubble going for as long as possible, and the only way to do that is to keep it growing at a faster pace than the overall economy is growing.
And our financial engineers have definitely been successful in extending this Ponzi scheme for a lot longer than many of us had anticipated, but they can’t keep doing this indefinitely.
Every financial bubble in history has eventually ended, and this one will too.  I really like what Charles Hugh Smith had to say to Greg Hunter just the other day
Journalist and book author Charles Hugh Smith says the next market crash and recession will unfold like the bursting of the 2000 Dotcom bubble. Smith explains, “The bubble popped or deflated not for any crisis, but simply because there was too much debt, too much leverage, too much euphoria and unrealistic valuations. I think we are seeing that now in stocks, housing and a lot of other assets around the world. The valuations just exceed what makes financial sense. . . . And remember, we are at the longest expansion in history. It’s over 10 years, and the average expansion lasts 5, 6 or 7 years. So, this expansion is pretty long in tooth. . . . You will get a slowdown, and that is a self-reinforcing feedback loop. Once people stop buying houses and once people stop buying cars . . . then you are going to get people being laid off, less people being able to afford to eat out, and then you get a self-reinforcing recession. It’s not a crisis, but like an erosion because everybody is kind of tapped out.”
In the end, nobody can “fix” our system, because our debt-based financial system was fundamentally flawed when it was designed. This is something that I have repeatedly pointed out, but unfortunately most Americans still don’t seem to understand this very basic concept.
If you have a financial system that is literally designed to endlessly create more debt, more money and more inflation, then you are living in a “bubble economy”.
And a “bubble economy” can seem fine as long as the bubble is inflating and economic activity seems to be humming along, but when things start to go bad they can go really, really bad very rapidly.
Individually, there is very little that we can do about our national debt, state and local government debt or corporate debt.  We can try to vote people into office that want to do the right thing, but unfortunately fiscal responsibility and financial reform are not hot button political issues right now.
But what we can do is get our own financial houses in order.  Now is not the time to take on more debt, and paying off any debt that you have already accumulated would be a very good thing.  This is something that Mac Slavo commented on in one of his recent articles
The real truth that no one seems to want to hear, is that those who took out these loans signed on the line and voluntarily entered into a contract.  If they didn’t understand the contract, it’s their responsibility (a big scary word) to ask or seek clarity before the agreement is made and signed. That’s called personal responsibility for your actions.  However, it’s lacking all over the globe, but particularly in the United States where people are always looking to blame others for their poor decisions that they themselves have made. “Blame the rich for my decision to go into debt and agree to bad terms!”
The debt crisis the U.S. has found itself in could very well cause another recession such as the one that started in 2008. This is exactly why personal wealth gurus such as Dave Ramsey andFuture Money Trends‘ James Davis tell people to avoid debt if at all possible. Doing so will protect you when others start to default on their loans.  You can’t default if you haven’t borrowed money. It also won’t matter what type of predatory loans exist if people aren’t borrowing that money. Personal responsibility could help lead to more freedom. If people are not free to make bad decisions as well as good decisions, people are not free.
As for the nation as a whole, we can only hope that there is as much time as possible before the inevitable implosion comes.
For decades we have been making exceedingly foolish decisions, and the consequences of those decisions are going to be exceedingly painful indeed.

This week, 2nd Vote reported that Bank of America sponsored two Planned Parenthood galas — one in 2017 and one in 2018. Updated records also show the company gave Planned Parenthood affiliates over $50,000 in 2017, and more than $30,000 to the far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) between 2013 and 2017.

Bank of America did not respond to multiple requests for comment from PJ Media, despite the explosive nature of the reporting. In addition to the 2nd Vote reports, Free Enterprise Project (FEP) Director Justin Danhof, Esq. reported how Bank of America executives stonewalled his attempts to get an answer at a board meeting on Wednesday.

Danhof confronted Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, noting Gallup polling showing Americans equally divided on abortion, and mentioning the racial elements at play. (According to one study, Planned Parenthood targets minority communities by placing 79 percent of its abortion clinics within walking distance of densely populated minority communities. While black Americans make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, 35 percent of babies killed in abortions are black.)
