Kim Foxx needs to resign now

 a record of incompetence

  • has a demonstrated record of practicing and tolerating racial bias in the prosecution of criminals
  • refuses to prosecute hard-core criminals
  • prefers electronic monitoring to imprisonment even for violent criminals
  • practices a different standard (anti) for police as opposed to the general public
  • generally speaking, is in over her head
  • lets politics control her office

Unprofessional, unethical. If she had a problem with prosecution, she should have done something before a grand jury returned the 16 counts. You could have save police manpower, tax dollars and LIVES by freeing up the manpower and time expended by police to follow up on this case. If you had any ethics, honor, or integrity, you'd resign. But you have none of that. Maybe the Obamas will send you an autograph for your trouble.

FOP should file an ARDC complaint against all involved. It's so obvious that something improper has occurred.

A Chicago police union, the Fraternal Order of Police, has now asked the Department of Justice to investigate Foxx’s role in the decision to not prosecute Smollett.

“The FOP is outraged by the decision to drop charges against Smollett, but not surprised,” the union said in an emailed statement to NBC News. “Since Kimberly Foxx has taken office, she has transformed the prosecutor’s office to a political arm of the anti-police movement. We renew our call for a federal investigation of her role in this case and expect the media to conduct a thorough investigation.”

There was no direct response from Foxx. Her spokeswoman, Tandra Simonton, insisted that the Smollett case was treated no differently from the more than 5,700 other “cases for alternative prosecution” that the office has handled in the past two years.

Jussie Smollett gets Hillary Clinton style justice all 16 counts dropped in secret deal with State's Attorney

Hillary Clinton and Jussie Smollett have a lot in common. Both got away with committing crimes because government officials in charge of bringing them to justice looked the other way. This is not justice and it points to different rules for different people.
CNN reports all charges against Jussie Smollett -- the actor who'd been accused of staging a hate crime against himself in Chicago -- were dropped Tuesday, a development that his attorneys hailed as vindication but angered top city officials who still are calling his victimhood claim a hoax.
The prosecutor in the case said he understood that people would question dropping the charges, but that thousands of cases have similar resolutions and Smollett forfeited his bail money and did community service so that the matter would be closed before trial.
The move is a dramatic reversal in a case in which police alleged just last month that the 36-year-old "Empire" actor hired two acquaintances to attack him along a street in late January to promote his career.

No justice: Chicago prosecutors drop all charges against fake hate-crime actor Jussie Smollett

On February 21, 2019, actor Jussie Smollett, 36, turned himself in to Chicago police after he was charged with a felony for lying to police when he claimed to be the victim of a racist and homophobic attack.

Smollett, best known for the Fox TV show Empire, who is both black and “gay”, had told police that on January 29, at around 1:30 a.m., he was accosted by two men in downtown Chicago who shouted racist and homophobic slurs, beat him up, poured bleach on him, wrapped a noose around his neck, and warned him that “This is MAGA country!”– a reference to President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

But Smollett’s story completely fell apart: Not only had he purchased the “lyncing” rope wrapped around his neck, Smollett had paid $3500 to two Nigerian brothers, Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo, who are also black, to stage the fake racist-homophobic attack on him.

Foxx is a disciple of Preckwinkle just like Berrios. DOJ should be taking a hard look at the antics of all three.

In fact, a 30-minute search turned up seven people in Illinois with similar charges to those of Jussie Smollett whose sentences included probation, at the least.

    Here are the seven:

On November 9, 2011, the RRStar.com reported that a 19-year-old Rockford, Illinois, woman received a sentence of two years probation and 40 hours of community service for filing a false report. She was also ordered to undergo counseling. The woman falsely claimed that “she had been threatened at gunpoint.”
On August 28, 2012, CBS Chicago reported that a 47-year-old Riverside, Illinois, woman was sentenced to 18 months probation for filing a false police report. She was also ordered to pay $1,800 in “overtime cost” for Riverside officers who worked extra hours in an attempt to find the individual she falsely claimed assaulted her.
On September 30, 2015, the Daily News reported that a 22-year-old Effingham, Illinois, man who filed a false report about “being shot by someone else,” was sentenced to 30 months of probation. He also had to fulfill 100 hours of community service and “pay $5,000 in restitution to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department.”
On July 14, 2016, the Herald-Whig reported that a 24-year-old Golden, Illinois, woman was sentenced to 18 months probation for falsely claiming she had been stabbed at a car wash. She was also ordered to complete 60 hours of community service and to pay nearly $1,000 to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 3, 2016, WSPYNews reported that a 46-year-old Marseilles, Illinois, man was sentenced to 30 months probation for filing a false report about a man pointing a gun at him. The 46-year-old was also ordered to pursue mental health care.
Chicago’s WGN reports that two individuals — Katie Mager and Ryan Reieirsgaard — “received two years probation and fines of a few hundred dollars” for filing a false report in 2017. The couple claimed a robber with a knife had taken a “$12,000 engagement ring and other valuables.”

Why is the court file sealed forever? What does that mean? I would think the public has a right to know what is going on, especially in such a high profile case.

Chicago mayor reacts to Jussie Smollett shocker

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says dropped Jussie Smollett charges are making 'a fool of all of us' originally appeared on goodmorningamerica.com

Still fuming from the stunning decision by prosecutors to drop charges in the "hoax" attack case against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel blasted the move Wednesday, saying all the evidence police collected against the TV star should be unsealed.

"He's saying he's innocent and his words aren't true," Emanuel told ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America." "They better get their story straight. This is actually making a fool of all of us."

Soon after Emanuel's GMA interview, Chicago police released some supplemental reports in the investigation of Smollett in compliance with a Freedom of Information Act request filed by ABC Chicago station WLS-TV.

The documents handed over include details from interviews detectives conducted with two brothers, bodybuilders Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who claim the actor solicited them to help him stage a Jan. 29 street attack on him.
