CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - Former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke has been beaten up while in prison in Connecticut, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, citing Van Dyke’s wife, Tiffany.
The Sun-Times reports Van Dyke had been transported to the Connecticut prison and placed in general population before being assaulted in his cell.
Tiffany Van Dyke is reportedly planning a news conference Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m.
I would think, considering all of the publicity, that Mr. Van Dyke would not be in the general population anywhere. The IDOC has a responsibility to protect this man.
He needs to be in protective custody.

DeleteShoot was clean and justified. CPD cleared JVD, 12 bosses signed off on the shooting.
