The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care.
Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.

Cardinal Wimps Out
I don't understand why he is hesitant to straighten Cuomo out. Dolan doesn't seen to realize that he Dolan, is holding the cards. Why would he give a rats ass about what Cuomo thinks?
I hate to say it but I dont think the Cardinal is actually wimping out. He is protecting a political ally. Dolan is another of the many (too many) Catholic hierarchy who were not just out to lunch regarding this crisis of child molestation and perversion of their Holy Vows, but COMPLICIT in the cover up. McCarrick was removed from his position by Pope Benedict. Then was REINSTATED by Pope Francis !???? Why??? After being known and documented by scores of accusers for forcing himself on Seminarians and engaging in completely abhorrent conduct for a Cardinal and being Removed...he was REINSTATED!!!!Then when he got back in....he strongly lobbied for none other than "Blaze" Cupich to become the Bishop for our Archdiocese!! These are the people who are going to be conducting an inquiry on the scandals? They are the culprits! People need to call the Archdiocese and insist "Blaze" step down. They have NO excuse for what has happened since 2001. None
