WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THE FEDS ARE GIVING FIVE CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS (DON'T KNOW IF THEY'RE ELECTED OR APPOINTED) 30 DAYS TO COME IN AND MAKE A DEAL. AFTER THAT, ALL BETS ARE OFF.

WORD ALSO THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE NOW REACHING OUT TO THE FEDS IN ORDER TO SAVE THEIR OWN ASS.

What do you suppose the Feds got Solis on to get him to wear a wire for nearly 2 years. I wonder where he plans on moving his family to and what their new last name will be. Not to upset the good government fans out there, but if you got caught dirty, you'd like to think you could man up and take your medicine without doing the government's work for them and ratting out co-workers/friends to save your own ass.

Interesting tidbit from Wikipedia on Solis:

"He is the brother of Patti Solis Doyle, Senator Hillary Clinton's former campaign manager. Solis was a member of Clinton's Illinois Steering Committee."

If the feds did catch Solis dirty, I wonder if the Clinton connection will keep him out of jail.

I am not going to be critical of 19th ward politicians. They tend to do the best job they can with very limited resources, and don't need to be beaten up. In fact, people should be helping them as they are among the last "normal" leaders in Illinois.

I am keeping the 19th Ward Chicago name because of the rich blog history going back to 2010 and because there is a ready-made base of similar-thinking readers. For now on, the 19th Ward of Chicago will be mainly a point of reference, an observation deck if you will. A place where allot of good-natured, normal-thinking people still live and can safely view the dysfunction overtaking America. Write whatever you want about whatever or whomever you want. Just keep it true and not vulgar.

At all times, we am going to comply with Blogspot's community standards. We have seen what happens when there is not such compliance.

We will never publish threats of physical violence or baseless attacks on people or institutions.
