- 50 Degrees below Zero!

It's going to be a record in Chicago on Tuesday night. All caused by global warming and climate change together. Yes, a double whammy.

The coldest weather in years will put millions of people and animals throughout the Chicago area at risk for hypothermia and frostbite to occur in minutes during the final days of January.

The deep freeze continued across the Upper Midwest on Sunday with temperatures plummeting well below zero in the morning. The low of 45 below zero F in International Falls, Minnesota, shattered the day’s record of 36 below zero F from 1966.

As harsh as Sunday morning was, the worst is yet to come as the polar vortex gets displaced from the Arctic Circle and dives into the Midwest in the wake of the disruptive snowstorm early this week.

In addition to the risks of frostbite and hypothermia, residents will be faced with high heating costs and the potential for frozen and bursting water pipes, dead car batteries and school closures.

What can you do to combat this?
  • Take steps to reduce your carbon footprint
  • Recycle
  • Avoid using plastic straws
  • Turn the heat down
  • Recycle some more
  • Use public transportation
  • Use a bicycle
  • Dress warm

Murph this is all global warming when its this cold, it is a side effect of warming, caused by rich people who don’t pay their fair share.
If you make more than $75-k per person and 150-k per family. "including benefits" you should bump to a 38% income tax rate. those funds need to go into an account for those less fortunate peoples, so they don’t struggle with rent and food.
and for god sake we need to get rid of paper napkins and paper towels, do you have any idea how many trees are destroyed each and every year for napkins and paper towels? This tree cutting is also a major leader to global warming. the world survived thousands of years washing hands with water and drying with reusable cloths, wake up people. Last week congresswoman Aleandrea Cortez said we have only 12 years left before the earth dies if we don’t fix this!!!!!
