As sad as this story is, it was an accident

Clergy, activists seek independent probe in security guard's death

MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. (AP) - A group of clergy and activists are calling for an independent investigation into a bar security guard's fatal shooting by a suburban Chicago police officer.
About 50 people rallied Friday in the Midlothian police parking lot to protest Sunday's slaying of 26-year-old Jemel Roberson.
Roberson was outside a bar in Robbins, southwest of Chicago, and holding at gunpoint someone involved in an earlier shooting. Roberson was shot after officers from several agencies responded to the earlier shooting.
State police have said witnesses told investigators a Midlothian officer ordered Roberson to drop his gun before opening fire. Witnesses also reportedly shouted before the shooting that Roberson was a guard.
Roberson was black. The officer is white. He is on paid leave and his name has not been released.

If you're the police responding to a man with a gun call and an unidentified person is seen with a firearm he doesn't drop when ordered to do so, are you supposed to wait until he shoots you to appease an uninvolved group of on-lookers? We're already seeing how this is being painted, with news outlets already comparing it to the McDonald shooting. And the lawsuits are filed the very next day. And all the non witness Reverends are out protesting. Have to give them the big EFF YOU

Michael Pfleger marched in Midlothian but never marches in his neighborhood where just recently there were folks(people) arrested in the neighborhood he serves for major drug dealing. He never marched in his neighborhood nor pointed out houses that these drug dealers lived. I wonder why.

Catholic church is losing people, due fake priest like him. The black community always playing the race card, before any facts. Look how liberal CBS, Chicago fanned the race card, with no facts. They interviewed people, who stated this so called security guard, had security on his shirt. This was a lie. State Police Investigating stated, the subject had on black clothing. NO SECURITY ON ANYTHING BE WAS WEARING.

By ILLINOIS gun laws security guards are not allowed to carry firearms in bars. ILLINOIS State Police, verify that there was no security on subject clothing.

Poor cop going to be inconvenienced for a little bit. Nothing going to happen to him. “Security” guard #1 the gun he had was not registered to him.#2 he wasn’t wearing any “security” clothing#3 not only wasn’t that gun registered to him it’s illegal for a security guard to posses a firearm while on duty at that mannys blue room. Wonder if they had the gun free zone sticker on door. This would have solved problems here . The night would’ve just been a nice quiet night of dancing and conversations. A nice place to relax and unwind from the rigors of a tough work week. Lol

Quick, before anyone with a brain cell reads any of the above posts, file that lawsuit. Maybe you'll get an equally ignorant group of jurors that will give away the store to the relatives of the deceased and get the equally ignorant occupant of the Cook County States Attorney's office to approve felony charges against the responding officer. And maybe Sheriff Dart can take a break from his oversight attempts at the proposed quarry nearby to give a character reference for the unmarked, out of uniform security guard/bouncer.
